Anyone know if these games will be televised? I was meant to be your side of the pond this week in Boston and then was heading down to see the Aggies play on saturday and monday. However had to cancel my trip , so hope to see the Aggies live later in the season.

this weekend's games will be a true "test" for coach jones. its one thing to win at home, but its totally different on the road. even against teams like umes and dsu.
i'm hoping that we can pull both of these games out because next weekend is gonna be a lot more "challenging" than this weekend. next weekend we come right back up here again to this part of the east coast when we play coppin state and morgan state. both of thoses games will be difficult road games.
i plan to be at the coppin state games for both women and men, not too sure about the morgan state game since its on a monday night...

....you must admit, if we end up losing to BOTH DSU and UMES, the Jones honeymoon would definitely be over. That's not what I'm wishing for, but natives would get restless if we lose both games. I don't think anyone has either UMES or Delaware St projected anywhere near the upper echelon of the MEAC. In fact, they were picked to finish 10th and 11th, respectively....ie. the bottom of the MEAC barrel.

Glad you can be at the Baltimore games. I agree...Conference road games are never easy. But if we're going to have a chance to win the MEAC regular season title, we need to come out of this weekend at 3-0. I expect an end-to-end W at MD-ES. DSU is likely going to be tighter because they picked up a 6-7 scoring forward who put up 13 pts in his first game of the year against Morgan. So this won't be the same DSU squad that got crushed in OOC play. Also... we get Ty Lyons back after a 1-game rest vs. FAMU. That will definitely help our chances.

It’s worked out to be a good cadence of games for a new coach
1. Top tier Team in FAMU at home 2. Two bottom tier teams on the road . Expect both bad UMES and Del State teams to play inspired ball at home. Everyone wants to beat us no matter the sport

Well win or lose, I don't think anyone should get too committed to an "interim" head coach. I love his style of ball much better than Joyner but that doesn't mean that I think he's a keeper yet.
"If" he figures out a way to keep our guys playing hard and fast the entire game and not wilt in the second half, and "If" he figures out how to get our guys to play solid defense in the latter part of the game when they are tired, and "if" he solidly beats the teams we're "supposed" to beat and a few we aren't, then I'll work on remembering his whole name. But that's a lot of "if's." Until that happens, he's still old what's his name, the interim head coach. Lol

Lol Jones maybe a keeper it's not the first time and interim coach has jump started a programs season and his career . I don't do If's but I will say that he is moving the team in the right direction so far . With that being said this maybe Jones chance to open some eyes and opportunities because someone is always watching in the world of basketball at all levels .

Let the season play out and let's keep an open mind about everything. I'm not down with anyone saying the job is or is not his at this time......way too premature. Let's just hope he guides the team well throughout the season and he grows as well during the process.
