Well from where I was introduced to football there is a method to end this nonsense. Grass drills, wind sprints, having a player run around the field after a silly mistake in practice or having the entire team do road work will end this foolishness. Perhaps the coaches need to review B.F. Skinner's works relative to learning. Wow so basically theoretically we could should have shut them out? Man ****Something has got to be done to have a new identity. Coach Washington did play in the NFL as did Coach Mattes, so I am not going to question their wisdom dealing with the mindset of these athletes in this cultural realism. But I will say this as a caveat to the coaches and players no disrespect intended but "there comes a time where caution ends and cowardice begins".,; perhaps as a reading assignment the team need to read Sun Tzu's The Art of War in earnest. Who was it Funkadelic Free your mind and your will follow. I will like to add something else here that I think will benefit the team which is have camp up in the mountains away from the sights and sounds of the Triad, like Cherokee but away way away from the Casino and train, train train may the Joyce Kilmer Forest area, Fontana Dam area. I believe this will be of benefit to the team because I believe that this year will be pivotal. In the Alma Mater we cite Dare to Cherokee so in addition take the camp to the beach for training in the water for overall team speed. With those military bases this should not be problem but there will be National Security issues. Oh well just serious input in terms of conditioning.

My wish is an enhancement upon the physicality and mental toughness/warrior mindset--DISCIPLINE. Cut the chatter, trash talking let actions speak. I hate to say it, but I think that is just part of our identity now under Coach Washington. Our defensive players were even jaw jacking in the Celebration Bowl and they gave up 44 points. SMH. I honestly expect us to average about one personal foul penalty per game from here on out. Maybe that is just the fuel we need to play at an elite level. But I dont see it changing any time soon. I will say this emphatically that this must change if we are to be true Champions. I met a young man at the Norfolk game who was sitting on A&T side. We begin conversing. He said that he believed that A&T could have defeated Duke but that he believed that Coach Washington got skared and that the team acted accordingly. His argument was in regards to overall team speed of A&T with speed neutralizing power. When Coach Washington stated his opinion about certain MEAC football officials some folk got upset. As a result of his opinion this became the albatross upon the team this unfair reality. It is this albatross which will be a determinative factor this season especially in crucial games. If the team can maintain their composure from the SC State event they will be fine. Now I am not mad at Coach Washington nor the players but basically this is a matter of Frustration/Aggression concept. I hope you understand where I am coming from.

I get it, but if it hasn't gotten better in two years I dont think the people in charge are really all that concerned about fixing it.

I still believe that despite Coach Washington's age and years in college football, he's still learning the head coaching role. The good news is he's winning while he's learning to be a head coach. That's also the bad news because if he's winning there's little incentive to change. He needs someone like coach Broadway to mentor him. Otherwise, he's not going to change because of us complaining.

Losing to FAMU and Morgan two years in a row and being champs based a lot on luck.
Continually talking too much junk instead of shutting up and playing.
Pass defense (which even the coach complains about).

RANDY HEDBERG TITLE Associate Head Coach/Passing Game Coordinator/QBs . Before becoming the Associate HC and Passing Game Coordinator he was the Assistant OC/QB Coach . Most Coaches at this level wear a number of hat's .

Previously Barnett was a dedicated QB coach so have one at this level is possible. Additionally, Alcorn had one in Pat White.

I hope that you are wrong because if you are right we are a decline a race to the bottomless pit 🤔 If we do not clean it up we will be in turmoil faking the funk. Maybe the coaches are reluctant to go old school particularly in this litigious era

The motto for this teams season should be " IT'S ABOUT BUSINESS" or "ACT LIKE YOU'VE BEEN THERE" when you make a good play that's not ten yards down field . Because with NDSU it's always about Business .
