Truth be told: Barely beat Elon at home on strength of 52 yard field goal. Got boat raced by Duke. Had to come from behind to be Charleston Southern with a first year coach. Played a DSU team under circumstances that would've had them losing to Dudley. So while your sarcasm is humorous, it might actually not be far from truth. We really just don't know as of yet, hence the caution. After Morgan and FAMU last year, well, I'll leave that alone... Elon was Nationally ranked #21 Duke is the real deal. Hell at least we scored more points than Virginia Tech.(45-10) Carter played horrible in that game not to mention there was some home cooking. We should had easily beat them by two more touch down but we took most our starters out the game in the 4th Qtr.

I agree, but my point being we don't really know where we are yet as a team, at least not to the point we can pound our chests like Norfolk is nothing to be scared of. ESPECIALLY after what happened in Charleston to start the game.

Well, DSU came into the game to stop the run...we came out passing but, we just don't spread the ball around in the passing game enough. So, many plays could've been made, the score should have been 50+ to 0...

Dooms, I see were you coming from but as Trues pointed out the things we have done this season to date equate to us being able to win the MEAC. Look at this way not one team in the conference other than BCU has a win over a non-MEAC D1 opponent (BCU beat Jackson State Woop T DOOO. So the Elon and Charleston victories stand tall as I am not at all convinced FAMU, Norfolk, or BCU would have beaten Elon or Charleston and the rest of the conference......ahhh NO

Yo....
We lost 14 starters from a class that went 41-7. Winning is hard, especially coming from behind to do it. Yet, we did it. Are we serious right now?

Where's the roll call for this week? Who's planning on coming to this game? Bought two game tickets and sent the check in for the bus so me and my wife are making the trip to Norfolk. As a bandhead I hate I will miss the band brawl on Friday night but I'll catch the action on game day. Plan to tailgate with the Tidewater Aggies too. We can debate the Xs and Os but HBCU football doesn't get no better than this.

A&T notebook: Jah-Maine Martin follows blocks to rushing success By Jeff Mills jeff.mills@greensboro.com N.C. A&T’s Jah-Maine Martin runs away from Delaware State linebacker Brooks Parker for a touchdown last week. Martin’s eight rushing touchdowns are tied for the national lead. Woody Marshall/News & Record GREENSBORO — N.C. A&T’s football program has produced a 1,000-yard rusher six years in a row and eight of the last nine seasons. And junior running back Jah-Maine Martin is already more than halfway to joining Tarik Cohen, Marquell Cartwright and Mike Mayhew on this decade’s list. No. 16 A&T plays at Norfolk State on Saturday at Dick Price Stadium, and Martin heads into the game fifth among all FCS runners in the nation with 543 rushing yards. Martin’s eight rushing touchdowns are tied for the national lead with seven other runners. He ran for four of those TDs last time out against Delaware State. “If anybody sees (Martin), tell him to save me a few TDs,” Martin’s roommate, star wide receiver Elijah Bell, cracked on Twitter a few hours after the Del State game. “Man, that boy’s a playmaker,” Bell said this week. “He’s meant a lot to us. He’s got us out of some bad situations. Coach Wash says ‘football players make football plays,’ and he’s done that. … We’re roommates, and we push each other. He’s doing everything he said he was going to do this year, and I love watching it.” And blocking for it, too.
