I hate that SC State is not receiving any votes. I was hoping they could get into FCS playoffs provided we win out and they win out. I know they have 3 losses but two are to ranked FCS team and a FBS loss......smh

I know they have 3 losses but two are to ranked FCS team and a FBS loss......smh Yeah. But, remember, SC State had a scheduling debacle where Presbyterian and Miles were on their announced schedule initially. Both games fell through for whatever reason(s). D-II Miles was replaced with D-II Lane while the Presbyterian game wasn't replaced. They got the upset win over Wofford which was great but the perception of our conference schedule strength and their win over a D-II squad isn't helping their cause to grab an at-large berth. They really could have used a 12th game versus a FCS school. Oh well, it's all about us Aggies. #AggiePride

It honestly makes no sense. They beat the #23 team handily and lost to the two teams tied at 15 by a grand total of six points. You can't say they don't have any quality wins or any bad losses.
They should win out and end the season at 8-3. Provided we win out I think the teams that are currently ranked in the top 37 that aren't going to the playoffs are us, Princeton, Dartmouth, FAMU, Alcorn, and Yale. That leaves 31 teams. You figure a few other teams ranked in the bottom portion of the poll and mentioned in others receiving votes have some losses left in their tanks and will not be receiving votes anymore. My money is on Steat making the playoffs and playing (and losing) at Furman, Kennesaw, or Wofford.

The NCAA FCS selection committee will release their Top Ten (25) beginning tomorrow evening (6:15 pm) and will do so for the next three weeks to the end of the season mirroring the FBS. Its supposed to be shown on ESPNU. We'll find out for sure just how A&T, FAMU, BCU, and SCSU are really positioned in the minds of the committee.

It will be more of the same. FAMU won't be considered because of sanctions and we may not be included if the committee thinks we're likely headed to the CB. BCU and SCSU aren't ranked so they won't get a sniff.
Although there was improvement the MEAC still has the same problem of not winning enough out of conference games.

As of right now Steat is positioned nowhere. I haven't tried to run down the different schedules of all the folks in front of them like I was able to figure out the teams not going to the playoffs, but at a glance most already have three losses. They'll probably rank some higher-level four loss teams above Steat but not a five-losser. In the end when you have four teams in the top 25 who absolutely aren't going to the playoffs and another two in the others receiving votes who aren't going already the remainder of the season bodes well for Steat so long as they blow the remaining team on their schedule out the water and all the three loss teams lose at least one more (and a few lose two more).
Pollsters like points.

Most on this board know how I feel about the FCS, the playoffs, and theses polls...with that said given the information seems like both SCSU and BCU are getting shafted.
My question is did any of you really expect anything different?
With the success of the CB, the MEAC and SWAC should look for a way to guarantee the top two or three teams in our leagues post season play.
Hell, there are too many bowls to count. We should create our own.

I don’t know about us creating another bowl game, but we all know a major reason (and not the only reason) why SC State and Alcorn State are not ranked in the main two FCS polls.

The first NCAA FCS Power Rankings of the season came out this evening. We are in at #14. FAMU is at #16.

Dang. We HAVE garnered some level of respect. That loss would normally have plummeted us completely out of the top 25. Pleasantly surprised.
