Definitely a lot of talent at the WR position ...... but when u see James Proche, 5’11, 201 lb from SMU go in the 6th round tells me them scouts over looking E Bell.
No Pro day definitely hurting!

The draft should have been pushed back to June. Wasn't fair for so many not to have a Pro day or hbcu combine.

Hey this draft has more to do with the impact of the pandemic than the lack of talent at HBCUs. It's disappointing but unfortunately this year's HBCU players got shafted by a pandemic. If they had Pro days or the HBCU Combine, more talented players would have gotten a call. Once this crisis ends, I'm betting several HBCU players will end up on NFL rosters. It will not get all the fanfare but an NFL opportunity is what all our kids want.
Let's take this year's draft results as a one time event not a trend.

I hear it was this plandemic unfair but we press on. Perhaps an undrafted free agent opportunity might materialise.

This list is more than disappointing. I think I may have counted 5 HBCU players on it. This has to do with more than the Coronavirus and economics. This has to do with blatant disregard for talent at HBCU schools in the eyes of white NFL owners and management.
Hell we might have had 5 players on A&T's team that could have been on this list.
History has proven that if given the opportunity HBCU players excel in the NFL because of their hunger and disrespect exhibited by the Slave Masters and their Henchmen.

Morgan State wide receiver Manasseh Bailey signed with the Philadelphia Eagles, according to an announcement from the school. Bailey, a former standout at Suitland in Prince George’s County, finished last season with the second-most receiving yards in school history (996) and the third-most touchdown catches in the conference. A former linebacker, Bailey reportedly ran the 40-yard dash in 4.39 seconds.
Bell's 4.55 40 seems to have not been good enough without in person evaluation. Next opportunity is the dreaded 2-day tryout camps (if they even have them this year).

Although the COVID19 hurt the HUBCU Draft Day it was enough film of EBell where they teams could have easily made a evaluation of his skills. They could called up any numerous of coaches of teams that he played against and got a evaluation of his skills. I do thing that his 40 times might have hurt him to some degree.
Also the HBCU's schools need to form a Evaluation Committees with the NFL so that players can be evaluated yearly and year round and not just wait until the end of the season. This committees could make recommendation to the NFL Coaches Association about certain players they need to take a look at from the various HBCUS schools We have to do a better job of marketing our HBUCS players
