Lastly, if this doesn't show you anything else, it should show you that we need to invest a bit more into our marketing, social media presence and sports information for NCAT Athletics. Good call on above. Our athletic programs are no longer just operating in a HBCU circle, or even a Regional circle success has pushed onto a National Stage. I was at the women qualifying racing in Austin Thursday night with an Aggie t-shirt on. Many folks from all over recognize us nationally. Others never heard of us I was standing next to Hilton when a white gentlemen asked us what NC A&T stood for. I saw the look on many folks faces when we finished 1&2 in the 200 qualifier "who is this school". Me being me I was harassing some folks from Clemson & Southern Cal telling them we probably have 1/4 the budget you do and look at us. I even had a Tenn grad (sitting next to me) more excited about us than he was about the SEC runners. [/quote] It's been long past NCAT Athletics looked at having an actual social media advertising budget and overall awareness of our presence on the platform. But according to a few on the thread, this is something in process.

You know you messed up when the Chancellor likes the re-write of that tweet. I would not be surprised if that guy is also working with the social media side in athletics beginning this fall. Lastly, if this doesn't show you anything else, it should show you that we need to invest a bit more into our marketing, social media presence and sports information for NCAT Athletics. Yep @ Chancellor Martin. It's on the agenda. It just didn't happen fast enough to prevent this from happening last night. "Marketing , Social Media presence and Sports Information for NCA&T Athletics " that's all good but this was a case of Good Old Common Sense and the lack of it . That is one thing that a degree in marketing can not teach a person . It is always a good thing to have a marketing /Media Information department for your Athetics with and understanding of Athetics . I am willing to bet that this person or persons have never spent time just talking with Trevor or anyone on the team about his/her future in and outside of track and field or even have any idea about how close the team is Common Sense !! I found myself asking this question ; would anything had been said if Miss White had not voiced her opinion ?

Sometimes, professionalism increases and common sense is used more when you have professionals handling social media accounts. Whoever tweeted that out didn't take their time to take emotion out of it. Essentially, they used social media just as we use this message board. However, people who get paid to rep NCAT on social media are supposed to have enough experience to "not press send" before re-reading the tweet, taking account others' sensitivities to what they are posting. And usually, the more a group pays, the more it's expected they won't tweet out something silly. A student would probably just be reprimanded but they'll still be allowed to manage the twitter account. But Brian Holloway or Erin Mizelle could get fired for the same error.

In the 100, White finished 2nd with a PB 10.95. The little freshman from LSU put on a show and ran a 10.75

Anna Cockrell from USC killed that 400M Hurdles.
That and the 400M is an area of opportunity for us next year.
