Nevermind, I answered my own question. Let's just say we dont have to worry about A&T signing him: This is from his sophomore year he has good junior film but the Qb play this year was bad. The Kid is not a QB if I am not mistaken He is a CB ? Safety right

Tarik Cohen was the fastest A&T player I have ever seen with my own eyes and he ran a 4.42 in the combine. If Monroe got timed running a legit 4.6 then that is plenty fast enough. If his 4.6 is hand timed it is really a 4.7 or 8 . Now if his 4.6 time is electronic it is a fair time . If he puts in the work he can drop at least 2 seconds . The kids time was a 4.5 his freshman year . He worked with the track team there by lowering his 40 time to the 4.42 range .

Again was his 4.36 hand or electronic . But being truthful the first 10 meters are really the most important part of the 40meters . That is the part that gauges your burst to and through the line of scrimmage by a RB . The rest is all about top end speed . The great Curtis Dickey said to me one time at a track meet " I'm the world class sprinter in 100 meters and in a game I only get to use 5 to 10 yard's of it in a game " most of the time . The main position on a team where the 40 is most important is at the WR position and maybe corner back . If a person ran a 10 .7 his time coming in would be around 4.5 or 6 . Remember The Kid ran both Indoor and outdoor track so that he could improve his turn over and it paid off . I tell my kids that foot placesment is important when you run . As soon as The Kid corrected his foot placement (Toe up heel down ) he improved his over all turn over . I just say this to the young man good luck at MSU . The Aggie WR , RB , CB , TE ,Safeties and LB's I cannot stress this hard enough RUN TRACK .

Don’t know about track or 40/100 time, but I have to believe that Malik Wilson is the fastest man I’ve seen on a football field. youtu.be/-UfFDzDnDmE

I keep hearing run track to improve your speed . While that may be a good idea, I don't see coach Ross taking guys who can not help his program come out just to improve their speed . He has a nationally ranked program and will want to devote his efforts to that and not to making football players faster. Perhaps he can assist in setting up a "speed improvement program" but he is not likely to take a bunch of slow (by track standards ) guys that take his time away from building his program. I keep reading that Cohen ran track outdoors for NCAT. I only think he ran indoor one season but not out door. If anyone can show me anything to the contrary, I will stand corrected. However, I never saw him. Gabriel was the fastest guy I saw on the field but he was a track guy. Tony McRae is my pick on that ...

I think you are misunderstanding how it works #1brave .Track and football go hand and hand coach Ross knows this The same sprint work out that you do for Track helps you in football and the Football players are part of the team because they are already on Scholarship for Football and they get points in meets just like all the runners do and if they are good enough they could letter . A lot of programs do this that is why you have so many Football players that run Track or Track runners that play Football Now Tarik Cohen ran track is Freshman year both indoor and outdoor indoor Best 60 m time 6.75 Best 200m time 22.09
Outdoors Best 100m time a wind aided 10.78w Best 200m time 21.84 www.tfrrs.org/athletes/5146368/N_Carolina_AT/Tarik_Cohen.html
