I watched his film intently for about an hour. Given the speed, physicality, and factors that Washington demands out his DBs, he probably made the right decision for all concerned. I believe a great many folks on this board are overly enamoured with too many local legends and Friday night heroes. Kids want to go places nowadays without any pressure, to become a stranger if you will, to cut a fresh path on their own terms. I wholeheartedly trust our staff in their making recruiting moves and their judgement. The number of championships, all americans, and NFL pros that we have produced in the last half decade speaks for itself. We need to accept the fact that all local kids don't necessarily stay awake at night waiting for A&T to come knock on their door. Time to grow up and grow a pair gentlemen and stop all the whining. Its unbecoming. Would like to nominate this post for Post of the year in 2019

Those were not good plays, but I'll be honest. He didnt even look like the same kid in those plays. He looked like he was nursing an injury or something. Looked nervous or tender in his stance, something just wasn't right compared to the other video of him. But oh well, I guess this will come up again from thrilla if he makes all conference at any point, LOL.

But this is why I love my school. A&T is the only school in FCS where there is a 10 page thread on a CB we didn't even offer. Y'all are passionate, LOL.

I can count how many games I have missed on one hand this past decade. I know the kids there. I love Dudley but the talent is kinda bare over there. They have the big DT he is soph. But he needs a lot of work. If I posted the Highlights of Mount Tabor you will see the same thing from Monroe. I wish the kid the best on his education at Morgan St.

Since the kid already committed to play at another school last night, I'm not gonna beleaguer the point any further. We'll just have to table this debate for a couple of years.
Glad to see any local kid get a chance to play football at the next level, especially one with family ties to A&T. Recruiting is an inexact science and I'm always going to champion kids who I think can help our program. Likewise, you guys have the right to disagree and offer your own opinions. That's what this message board is all about.
But let's not bury the lede here: if DJ Crossen (not Carson) actually decides to transfer to A&T this spring that would be an even bigger offseason get than Antoine Wilder. Is that what you guys are insinuating now?

Whether guys like DJ Crossen come "back home" or not is not as critical to me as the fact that our football program has now created an atmosphere and the results so that families can look at A&T as a viable choice if things don't quite pan out at their P5 dream school. Not so long ago, kids would not even consider North Carolina A&T, ever. I'm also impressed that our coaches have the leverage to always look to get better at every position WITHOUT COMPROMISE and have the talent on the current roster to have choices. There's one thing that is true as a coach, you always know what good looks like. So you always know the places you need to get better at and by how much. The hard part is projecting how high school talent will translate.

He will be good but I was referring to overall talent like Dudley normally has. They have size but the kids aren't like in previous years.

It must not be so bad over there... If you read mentioned the kid Page. Imo chris Neil and Dominque Neil are way better than this kids is . Page needs to loose some weight so he can play all 3 downs. He tired real easy this year. He has a chance to play on Sunday if continues to work. Dudley has him and the big time WR. Other than that its bare.

Aggie5, tell that to Va tech and UNC. They recruited him to play safety. But with that being said, if A&T somebody got him to transfer here and play corner you would not get any complaints from me. Crossen is the real deal. Panther, you mean to tell me that in the course of a 3-hour football game against other D1 caliber players, Monroe gave up a play or two? Even back when he was a junior? Get out of here. That is unbelievable. I thought you said you were going to post the entire film from the Hillside and Pages game so we can see his full body of work. For every isolated clip you post, I could find a dozen more from his highlight tape. Not sure what that is proving. Wrong Thrilla...he was recruited to both to play CB.
