I thought this was interesting from our aspect:
I'm watching the Outback Bowl game in Tampa between Mississippi State and Iowa.
Mississippi State requested and received special permission to allow their fans to bring COW BELLS into Raymond James Stadium. The catch is that their fans have to stop using them once either team approaches the line of scrimmage.
I guess that the "Marching Band Rule" is in effect, because individual MSU fans can be warned once and confiscated after a second offense, but if the noise becomes "obsessive," their team can be penalized on-the-field yardage by the refs.
The ESPN's sideline reporter is already complaining about the noise from their cow bells.
