agreed, but a "dual threat" qb is more dangerous than a "pocket only" or "run only" qb. so to me, its the "threat" of the qb running that's the key which means the opposing defense must play you "honestly". "dual threat" qb's are the most dangerous qb's to defend. that's why "aaron rodgers" is the most dangerous qb anywhere on the planet. when he drops back to pass, you "must" make sure his targets are covered because he's a very accurate passer. yet, at the same time, you can't leave the middle of the field open because if his receivers are covered, he'll take off running.
no question raynard must protect himself by sliding or running out of bounds, that goes without saying. especially since he's very "narrow"...

But note this also the majority of your dual threat quarterbacks at any level they also have productive TE's !!! This is something that A&T cannot continue to overlook in their offensive scheme! The TE if used properly can be the best friend to a multi versatile quarterback with a good field vision!

I feel you on that OSA lol. A&T's O-line will hold up against other defensive lineman but what worries me is the linebackers, the D line only opens holes for the linebacker to exploit to get to the QB. Now you take quick/slow release passes to your tight end on a Blitz look, that will cause the linebackers to stay at home more often because they know that's the tight end is more than just a blocker! If A&T can find away to in corporate the TE's as more then just a glorified babysitter you will get more production from your receivers and your backs swinging out of the backfield.A good example is the way UNC used they're tight end a few years ago , the kid from Smith high in Greensboro I cannot recall his name but he had almost as many caches as their receivers they were not long balls but they were catches that continue the offensive drive. I will take a continual movement of 5 to 15 yards on each play then for us to throw the long ball and have continual three and out on the Offence. coach Broadway talked about the office being predictable well if A&T never use the tight end for something other than a blocker this season predictability will be par for the course again!
