Unlike the convocation center, If they have a concept drawing, then i believe that it's more than a "dream." I remeber in 'Thrilla's interview with Hilton, that this building was something that he wanted for Aggie Stadium. Now as for this article, it would have been nice to get the concept design to wiew with the article, but hey I'll take it for now...lol Concept Drawingman, this is why i luv bdv! there's no better place for access to aggie athletics information! ask and you shall receive!! thanks, aggie2039...

This drawing is fantastic. I'm not much on watching football "indoors" but I do like this concept. This will be a big recruiting tool for all sports and a great place to "wine and dine" corporate sponsors. By the way, hope they get more creative with the plaza in front of the new structure. Need a giant Bull Dog sculpture at the front entrance.

I wish the building had a new locker room and game room/lounge for the players…just like Clemson and the bigger schools. Now that would help recruiting. Let the track team or softball team have the old locker room.

I wonder if they would have to remodel the horseshoe to accomodate for the Fan traffic and what i assume would be the new entrance for the team to come out of onto the field...

No remodel for the Horseshoe; building would fit in the area very well.

Yes, the building would fit in the area between the stadium and the hill...However, the clearing between the field/track and the bleachers is not tall enough to provide a new entrance way for the football team to emerge from...it would be kinda crazy to have the locker rooms behind the horseshow and they still have to walk around to the wellness center just to take the field.

I don't believe this new building will house the locker rooms . From what I saw of the plans it will consolidate all of the athletic admin offices .

Will the plaza extend all the way up the hill to the street?

Will the plaza extend all the way up the hill to the street? The plaza as shown will be level with Sullivan Street.

yeah, the plan calls for building it on the sullivan street side of the stadium. hail, if they ever build it, they should name that mofo after me! you can’t see it now because we’ve since enclosed our stadium, but before we expanded our stands into a horseshoe format, i used to run the living hail outta that “hill” where the horseshoe of our stands is currently built next to sullivan street! i was on the track team and one of my main events were the long jump and the triple jump. so our track coach at the time (coach neely) used to make all of his jumpers run that friggin’ hill every friggin’ day! the hill was virtually entirely grass except for the “running path” of dirt we created from running up and down that friggin’ hill every day. i should send hilton a petition asking him to name the new facility after me if it ever gets built...

You know I love you oldschool haha. hey monster, true dat i didn't have nowhere near dez lawrence speed, yet i wasn't slow either. but my main thing was jumping, i could "skywalk" with the best of them! at 5'10" tall, i could slam dunk with the best of them too! 1 hand, 2 hands, tommy hawk, all dat! (of course, oleschool can't do that no more) but that's how i earned my track scholarship at a&t, i placed 3rd in the "state finals" in the triple jump and back in my day, the state of north carolina "combined" all of the classifications (4a, 3a, 2a/1a) into one for sectional, regional, and state championships. so i take pride in knowing i was the 3rd best triple jumper in the "entire" state of north carolina when i was in high school...
