So you get your team eligible for a bowl and you get fired. Based on that criteria, we should run our coaching staff out of town.

Just take a look at football scoop this morning and you'll see across college football for unsuccessful and successful programs, changes are being made.
In this business you have to make decisions that are best for the program and ultimately your job.

The question is is that who we want to be?
The administration has to recognize whether Coach can provide what they want in a coach and then give him the resources to provide that. They also need to plainly communicate with the constituents (us) what the goals are, their belief in Coach to reach those goals, and what they need from us to help get there whether it be money, patience, or a combination. Ain’t none of that happened as far as I can tell.
Tbh, things have been fumbled since a lil birdie swooped in and posted that we were moving conferences before even our own coaches knew. I understand they wanted to avoid the backlash from the constituency but you were going to get it either way. It’s past time to vastly improve communication imo. The administration knows the grumblings about this past season. Address it and communicate full support of Coach and your expectations for the program going forward along with providing him proper support. Otherwise address it and state you share our disappointment and immediate improvement is expected, and provide Coach proper support. And ask us for what you need to get there.
Having us on here just angry isn’t good for anybody. It’s another dropped ball.

If that's what we are, I can lower my expectations and my blood pressure accordingly.

I like to have a family atmosphere but I want everyone to be held accountable and stress winning (I don't think anyone was trying to lose though). This is my first year with A&T but I have followed them for a while. I attended every game this season. I agree with DOOMS my blood pressure was boiling a lot.

I think most on here automatically assumed one of the goals with the BS move was to contend for a FCS championship. if that is the goal, no matter who the coach is, there are additional resources that need to be provided before we’ll come anywhere close to doing that, one is being able to pay coordinators at least six figures, and like you said, they need to communicate what’s needed to get there.

To fail back to back can set a program back 5 years or more because the others are making money moves immediately and taking the pearls!

I realize that our football program is under funded and under staffed but is that why our program looks like a cluster fcuk on game day? Is giving Coach Washington more resources going to fix this problem? I personally think that you can have a poorly funded well discipline team. We may still lose games but it doesn't take more funds to be disciplined.

Scott Frost's 'sacrifices' to keep job as Nebraska Cornhuskers football coach included pay cut, firing assistants
Nov 10, 2021 Associated PressLINCOLN, Neb. -- Scott Frost said Wednesday he had no problem taking a pay cut and firing four offensive assistants who also are friends if those moves give him more time to turn Nebraska into a winning football program again. Frost, who is 15-27 in four years and 3-7 this season, met with reporters for the first time since athletic director Trev Alberts announced the coach would return for a fifth season under a restructured contract. "I took this job because I love Nebraska and I love this university," Frost said. "It would break my heart to think we made the improvements we have and gotten it so close in so many games and not get an opportunity to see it through. So it's an easy decision to make any sacrifices I have to to have the privilege to continue to be here." Frost, who had been scheduled to make $5 million in 2022, will instead be paid $4 million. Frost said he was the one who suggested a pay cut. His buyout if he gets fired next year will go from $15 million to $7.5 million. Frost fired offensive coordinator/wide receivers coach Matt Lubick, offensive line coach/run game coordinator Greg Austin, running backs coach Ryan Held and quarterbacks coach Mario Verduzco. Lubick had worked with Frost at Oregon; the others were on Frost's staff at UCF. The offense has been inconsistent and quarterback Adrian Martinez has been mistake-prone in his fourth year as the starter. Special teams have been horrendous. Largely because of the defense, the Cornhuskers have not lost any game by more than nine points. "We've come so close in so many games and it's hard to think we can keep doing exactly the same things and get it over the top," Frost said. "It's not any person's fault, not any of those coaches' fault. Sometimes there needs to be a little different voice and little changes that can make a difference." Frost said he was uncertain how he would structure his staff but he will attempt to become a CEO-type head coach rather than overseeing every aspect of the offense, as he had been doing along with Lubick.
