Since we are currently understaffed on the defensive side of the ball, i'm sure Fobbs wishes he could have held off on Dwike's firing ..
With Oliver on the helm of being named DC, I can only shake my head at the direction of A&T football .

Oliver is no where close to being named DC.

If Fobbs even considered about keeping wilson he is crazy. Wilson needed to be replaced and I think we have one more weak link on the staff. You guys might call me crazy but I think frenchers is the other one. I've talked to this guy before and he has no intentions of working any harder to help turn our program around.

You know what? Who's the longest-tenured coach on staff? Oliver. He's also one of the most experienced at coaching the area he is coaching, behind Rags, Frenchie and maybe Ray.
That's a doggone shame. No wonder we stink.

Why can't Frenchers coach the defense? Wasn't he the DC at NCCU?

This will be yet another waste of a valuable spring .. Since Deke bounced, I would not be surprised at all if Ray is waiting for the first offer to come his way .. I use to get upset, but really, whats the point -- Who's coaching LB's this spring anyway ?

The early report is that Fobbs will be coaching linebackers during the spring.

The early report is that Fobbs will be coaching linebackers during the spring. Coach Fobbs needs to get "Aahhbigboy" and the "Truthseeker" to help him coach the team this spring. Those two seems to be very knowledgeable about coaching techniques and what it takes to be a good coach.

Or ... he could just hire Mo Smith like I suggested.

You know what ... Hiring Mo Smith right now in this time of turmoil would probably make the most since right now .. But I cant see Fobbs hiring someone after a petition was set up .. I can see the story on ESPN now "Coach Hired After Fans Petition Program"... Hiring Mo would be perceived that Fobbs caved into the petition and "fan" pressure ..
-Fobbs coaching LB's ? He can't even coach up the offense, how the hell is he gonna coach a position that he isnt all that familiar with ? We will be outcoached by Brick McNeil ..

Mo has been hired by A&T for recruiting. No, not for football but for regular student population. Mo is very smart and has really good people skills. He should do well.

How much does a job like that pay? Does anybody know if Mo wants to coach? I can't imagine Coach Fobbs turning down a volunteer, of Mo caliber.

In my brief conversations with Mo, I came away very impressed. He might not even remember talking to me but he was always a class act and gentleman.
A&T is a better institution when people like Mo Smith are working here.
