I don't think so. It's per car, not per person. Pass the hat...

That is so expensive for one game WOW!!!! You are So Right!!! I pay "good $$$" to MY SCHOOL and the --price gouging we do at Homecoming is RIDICULOUS...e.g.shows,football game tickets and tailgate $75--it shows that administration is seeking to GET ALL IT CAN in this HOMECOMING HAUL...that is very Customer unfriendly!!!

4 people tailgating (alot more people will be at each tailgate) = less than $20 per person
This is once a year and the vast majority of people who this will affect are tailgating and aren't going into the game. I'm not reading where they are charging to park on campus, just those premium spots. Supply and Demand...
This reminds me of the Game Zone complaints.

I guess it could be cheaper for a one shot event. What's the rate for the non-RV spots in the back? I think this is a great idea, but not much of marketing campaign to support the roll out, huh? Let's see what the demand is. How much space do you get?

The University is not obligated to provide reasonably priced tailgating space. You have the right to park on the street (somewhere)and tailgate out of your trunk. Someone will rent those spaces and be happy to have them.

Well, anybody that walked down Laurel Street saw that there wasn't any problem selling those lots... Oh and they were going for $150 at the Magic City Classic

By the way, the shuttle buses from the Sheraton to the game are the bomb! I finally convenience my wife this year to leave our car in the Sheraton Parking lot and ride the shuttle. We rode in comfort, avoided the traffic hassles and it dropped us right at the gate. In fact, I had friends that stayed at other hotels ride the Sheraton shuttle just to avoid paying for campus parking. Great idea that will get more popular as the word gets out more.
