In FCS - Division 1, North Carolina A&T (3-1) overmatched D-2 , Chowan 56-0 to gain the top spot. Tennessee State (3-1) recorded a 10-7 win over FCS opponent Tennessee Tech for second. Bethune-Cookman (2-1)dropped to third after the Wildcats dropped a 41-7 decision at FBS Central Florida.
Texas Southern (4-0) nips Alabama State (3-1) for fourth spot (143 pts/142 pts) with a head-to-head battle looming in Montgomery this week-end. Alcorn State (3-1) checks in at number six in week four.
Morgan State (2-2) and Southern (2-2) gained one spot each, rising to seventh and eighth respectively, with South Carolina State (2-2) climbing back into the poll at ninth from Not Ranked and Jackson State (2-2) dropped to tenth after a close 40-35 loss to Grambling State (1-3).

Fort Valley State (2-1) jumps to fourth with the 19-18 win over Clark Atlanta and Miles (2-1) slips one spot to fifth despite their 34-30 loss at Hampton.
Morehouse (2-1), Virginia Union (2-1) and Virginia State (1-2) move into the poll from Not Ranked to sixth, seventh and eighth spots respectively. Kentucky State (1-2) drops to ninth and Benedict (2-1) breaks into the poll for the first time this season.
