Well if you're at true A&T Band and Golden Delight fan you will make plans to attend the first appearance of the 2014 Blue and Gold Marching Machine in Charlotte in August. So far NCCU, Winston Salem State, JC Smith, Fayetteville State, Shaw and SC State are scheduled to appear. This will be a tune up for the SWAC/MEAC Challenge late in August. Plus we will get a chance to see NCCU under it's new band director. I expect every band to show up looking to make some points against us since our performance at the Honda Battle of the Bands in Atlanta. Doesn't it feel good to know you are "top dog" and everyone wants to beat you?
I hope Aggie Nation shows up to see our kids show out. We are asking all Aggies to wear gold that night so everyone will know we are in the house! Come show your Aggie Pride.

Don't forget to show your Aggie Pride and wear Gold! I want Memorial Stadium to be solid gold when the Blue and Gold Marching Machine takes the field.

Tentatively set for that morning I believe. They usually marched in around 11 am in past years and play for about 20 minutes.
Shouldn't affect their being in Charlotte that evening.

I was told that Fan Fest will be held on Sunday the 24th. Don't know how true that is but this is what I was told.

Sunday afternoon might actually be better for more people being able to turn out although that has never been a problem in the past.

Two big A&T Band events coming up this weekend...the Queen City Battle of the Bands this Saturday night in Charlotte at 7:00 and Athletic Fun Day (Fan Fest) this Sunday from 3:00 to 6:00 at Aggie Stadium. Come out to both events, wear your "Aggie Gold" and show your Aggie Pride.
By the way, if you are planning to attend the QC BOB you may want to buy your tickets ($20) online prior to attending the event and showing up early. Most fans will arrive at Memorial Stadium just before the event and the ticket lines will be a mile long. I went to a band event there 4 weeks ago and the ticket line and will-call lines stretched for a block. I printed my ticket online and it took me less than 5 minutes to get through the lines.
Come early because there are "no reserved seats" so the best seats in the middle of the stadium will go fast. Memorial Stadium is on Central Piedmont Community College's (CPCC) campus and they have two or three great parking decks close to the stadium that will cost you maybe $5 or $10. There's also free parking on the streets around the stadium but you may have to walk a few blocks. It's a very upscale neighborhood and there will be plenty of security around so don't worry about your car or the walk to the stadium.
Don't forget wear your Aggie Gold!
