June Harris had a beautiful "homegoing" service on Monday. There were many of his team mates in attendance including Glover, Nunnaly, Al Carter, Bobby Parks, James Sparrow and some others I could not remember. The football greats were also in attendance Ragsdale, Ron Tuck, Al Holland (baseball), Ralph Brown and many Hall of Famers. I was sad but felt a lot of love from the many other people who loved and respected him. Have a very blessed new year.

I was devastated when I learned of June’s passing. Many years ago we were college sweethearts. We had just spoken after almost 30 years. He was the kindest, sweetest and most honorable man even when we were in our twenties. I still have the ring that he gave me and the bronze medal he won when he went to play in Peru South America. He proposed marriage but as the Lord would have it we both ended up marrying other people. We were always friends even to the very end may God bless his family his wife, his children and his grandchildren and all those that love him. He will truly be missed. As he would say to me after a long telephone conversation “Say good night Gracie.” Dr. Ché

I remember one night at WS STATE when June and and think his name was Sandy Smith put on a basketball exhibition. We won by 1 or 2 at the end. June to was and still is my favorite A&T basketball player. And was one of the coolest and down to earth person I have ever meet. And to all the oldheads remember "SWEET GEORGIA BROWN ".June would just glide in the warm-ups. REST IN PEACE my Brother. AGGIE PRIDE
