I've seen many comparisons to Mo Hicks, but watching these highlights, this kid looks exactly like him. Man I am blown away with the news of having the new additions from HP Andrews.

what i really like about him is that he's a totally different back than cohen. 2 great backs, 2 totally different "styles". cartwright is a "beast", a very "violent" running back who also has break away speed. cohen is more of a speed back who just happens to have "power" too. 2 different looks in our backfield and that's what you want, to keep the defense off balance.
i really like the qb too. he might be a redshirt candidate though while he learns the ropes at the fcs level. he'd be a great understudy for foster...

As a native High Pointer, T. Wingate Andrews is a quality program loaded with a great tradition and fine coaches with strong HBCU ties.
Kids in High Point start early on in midget football, Pop Warner and Salvation Army football and stay with the game all the way through middle and high school non stop.
Although they are a 2-A school, they produce more D-1 talent than any high school in the Triad year in and year out. To look at their program numbers you couldn't tell the difference between them and a class 4-A team.
With the exception of maybe Dudley, they would probably run most of these 4-A schools around here off the field like they do with the 3-A's on their schedule.
I'm ecstatic that we have these two quality kids coming to join our program. Don't be surprised to see one or both of them make an immediate impact early in their careers.
Andrews also has another 4-5 D-1 caliber kids on their squad worth a look see especially on defense in the pipeline.
Case in point, Danny Pinnix is a very solid student and polished athlete who started for us nearly every game this past season as a redshirt freshman DE is from Andrews.
Kids like Raynard and Cartwright would have easily been gobbled up by ECU, NCSU, Wake, and Appalachian in years past.
Hats off to Coach Rickey Bustle as our recruiting coordinator in recognizing local talent and working hard in getting these local kids to seriously consider A&T as a real first option and not an afterthought.
Great job!!!
