Got a call yesterday, A&T has offered a full-ride to 6'7" - 320 lbs., Shawn Best from New Bern. Kid played in the Shrine Bowl. It was between us and NCCU. Initially offered him a partial but came back with a full-ride after NCCU offered a full scholarship.

Nope, a left offensive tackle, the hardest job along any offensive line and the hardest to find because he has to be a hell of an athlete to protect the blind side of the quarterback. That's the big reason they make way more money than any other line position in the NFL.

whereas 2 years ago, we pretty much didn’t have any legit receivers on the team. but now, we’re seemingly “loaded” with receivers particularly after signing this kid along with this year’s recruiting class. last year’s recruiting class brought in a very good crop of young receivers, not to mention dez lawrence. then, throw in 3 more receivers with this year’s class and all of sudden we’re “loaded” at the receiver positions.
i think coach broadway will probably redshirt all 3 of the receivers he brought in this year...

here's a kid that a dsu poster over at meacfanszone posted a thread for regarding his availability to be picked up after being released from his scholarship at north dakota. looks pretty good on film, he's an offensive lineman which we can never have enough of. this post came from steviet over at mfz, maybe someone should pass this information onto our football coaches. here's the post... meacfanszone.proboards.com/thread/24929/help-asap?page=1#scrollTo=383875 This young man was on scholarship at University of North Dakota. They had a coaching change and they have released several players including my guy. His name is Rashad Williams. This is his HS Hudl link:

Please let me know if he can play for your school. He has has a release. I can have him there to meet the staff in May after finals.

what i like about most of coach broadway's recruits is that they all seemingly have a great work ethic and that's what you definitely want in your locker room. from the outside looking in, it appears to me that coach broadway places a very high premium on "character" and "work ethic". most of the newspaper articles i read about coach broadway's recruits almost always has adjectives like "works hard" somewhere in the article...

6'4" 240lbs., he will probably play DE. Broadway is trying to maintain that #1 "D" in the country. Man I can't hardly wait for the season to start!!!!

This time of year is always exciting for me. My only question is with all the quality wide receivers that have been recruited........ Hopefully we will have a QB that can get the ball to them where they can make sum plays. Vertical passes and passes in a tight window. If we can get that it will open things up even more for the running game. Just reading sum of the responses on here it gives me hope that we will have a balanced attack on offense. Another observation...........it looks like we have sum TE's that will come into play this year. Those TE's can be the QB's best friend because after check downs they can get a look!!!!

I got it from someone close to the action that yesterday's afternoon practice had music with several speakers near the practice field. It looks like to me that Broadway is optimistic about the talent he has. One important question........Do we have QB talent that will allow us to go vertical in the passing game? Anybody that has knowledge on this I welcome their opinion. The way I look at it is "Funky B" will always have sum beasts on defense and it will reflect that on the field but....... if we have a QB that will go through their progressions and remain in the pocket long enough to let the play develop......that will be major for us. Of course, if the line breaks down the QB will have to do sum scrambling or they will get killted .
