....you may be able to read, but your comprehension of what you read is fundamentally flawed. I see. You just don't get it. Not surprised.

Mach, Good luck rebuilding; we've been were you have to go. Hopefully you will get a coach like we did; Broadway was a good catch for us.

If it's an open records/FOIA request, the list is public domain since Grambling is a state school.
That said, it looks like a general sourcing list that any HBCU would have, not an actual applicant list.
No big deal here.... good luck with your new coach, Mach!

this is nothing more than a misrepresentation of “applicants”. dang, mach! for the most part, you’ve been pretty forthright in the past. but c’mon, man. who do you think you’re foolin’? while i don’t always agree with your posts, i’ve never known you to stoop to this level.
i’m actually pulling for grambling and i hope they’re able to pull themselves back together. other than the elder fobbs, we’ve had pretty good success with former grambling head coaches like coach bibbs (i still luv that woman!) and now coach broadway. so i have nothing against gsu.
i think in due time, grambling will one day restore its rightful place as the most widely known hbcu football program in america. i could be wrong, but i don’t think it’ll happen while fobbs is the head coach though...

Mach has done a great disservice to Broadway, Strong and other people on that list who never applied for the Grambling job.

Hey give Mach some slack...he's had a rough year! If he wants to think that all those coaches either called to apply or said "yes" they were interested in the Grambling Coaching job, that's okay. The way his program has been kicked around this year, he's entitled to dream a little. As as long as Broadway stays at A&T, I don't care who "thinks" he's interested in moving. I just hope their new coach can turn the program around and Grambling returns to the top of the SWAC.

I believe him.
I believe every last person named on that list has at one time or another submitted an application for the Grambling head coaching position.

Good coaches will always have their names associated with openings in college football. Besides Broadway addressed the issue of Grambling contacting him back in September.

A&T coach Rod Broadway calls AD to nip Grambling rumors in the bud By Jeff Mills jeff.mills@news-record.com | Posted: Wednesday, September 11, 2013 4:01 pm The phone rang in Earl Hilton’s office a little before 2 p.m. The conversation was short, and one-sided. “Hey, coach,” N.C. A&T’s athletics director answered. “OK. … OK. … Uh-huh. … OK, great. I’ll talk to you later.” Hilton hung up the phone. “That was coach (Rod) Broadway,” Hilton said. “I’m not exactly sure what that was about, but he said if I heard any rumors not to listen to them. He’s not going anywhere.” The rumors are coming from Louisiana. Grambling fired football coach Doug Williams first thing Wednesday morning. Late Wednesday afternoon, after A&T's daily football practice, Broadway said Grambling had called earlier in the day to gauge his interest in returning to the Tigers.
"I have no interest," Broadway said. "I love this place. I love my job. I love the administration and the direction we're trying to go. I have no interest in any other job."Williams, a former Grambling star who went on to win a Super Bowl as quarterback of the Washington Redskins, was in his second stint as Grambling’s head coach. Grambling won a SWAC title in 2011, Williams’ first season after replacing Broadway, who was hired by A&T on Feb. 3, 2011. Decks, don't you get it?
Everybody on the list applied for the position before. It doesn't mean they applied for it this time.
Also, the article means nothing. Washington's former head coach stated the other morning during a radio interview that he'd had no discussions about the USC head coaching job. Hours later he was named USC's head coach. Not saying that Broadway did that (he clearly has no interest in returning to Grambling), just stating posting some article doesn't prove much in today's climate.
We all know Broadway applied for the Grambling position at some point, because he was the head coach there. Everybody else on that list applied at one point or another too.

That scenario makes more sense …….but why would anyone overlook Charlie Strong? He is a stud and know how to win ……think him and Broadway were on the same staff at FL or were they?

I dont think Dooms' theory holds water.
I believe this was just a list of people that Grambling may have been considering for their vacant head coaching position. Some of those people may have formally applied; some may have been names that a fan on a message board suggested.
The fact is that Mach promoted this as a list of people who applied for the current Grambling head coaching job and posted in on various places on the Internet. He did not initially state who it was provided by; he just said this was the list.
It was his responsibility to verify if it was true or not before posting. If he believes the list is accurate, he is basically saying that Broadway is a liar and that his previous quotes in the News & Record were all false.
That my friends is a big deal. That is character assassination against a coach who didn't do anything wrong in this entire situation.

Folks you went to college. The title of the sheet says what it is a "Sourcing" list. Just a list of folks that could serve as a source in the search process (IE: for references, recommendations etc.) This list is not a candidate list. Nothing to see here. Literally.
I am creating a Christmas Gift Sourcing list and putting all you down for gifts. Thanks in advance.
