A groin injury is messing with Jay Cutler and my fantasy football team. I hate to say this but having VUL as the homecoming game might be a blessing in disguise.
Wow only 8-10 K in the crowd on last Saturday.

Wow only 8-10 K in the crowd on last Saturday. Bad weather and a bad team will always have a negative impact on game attendance. And to be quite honest with you, I just showed up to see A&T's band perform. Hey even those attendance numbers are deceptive...it was University Day so are they counting those high school students that attended? Like you, I too am glad we have VUL for Homecoming...but even that game might be a challenge for this team. I think we will limp through the rest of our games this season with the offense we have. I'm just hoping the young freshman running back, #28 stays health the rest of the year. The coaching staff may realize that he's their key to winning and over-use him. I want to see him stay health until next year when hopefully our offense will get more talent around him.

I haven't followed this team very closely so I have a few questions that may provide answers to the Aggie swoon. 1. Has this team lost some interior linemen in the last two or three games that they had for their first 3 or 4 games? 2. Has this team had hurts and injuries to their players that have kept them out of practices? 3. Has there been a lot of line-up changes among the receivers? 4. Does the punter still has that nagging groin pull and has this affected his technique? There may be things happening that have negatively impacted the team that the average fan can't see. One thing that I think is happening is that the team's execution fundamentals are detoriating from week-to-week since game 3 or 4 and this may be due to line-up changes the coaches are forced to do and/or lack of practice time due to hurts and injuries. Good point all. I do know this if a kicker has a groin injury he may not be the same for some time are even for the season. Groin injures take a lot longer to Heal then most injuries in any sports. I think "game film" has hurt this team more than injuries or lineup changes. Let me explain...We beat App State because they aren't very good this year and they had no current game film on us for this year to watch. We beat Elon because they aren't very good this year and they made too many mistakes. We beat Howard because they aren't very good this year and their receivers couldn't catch squat! Now here's where game film kicks in...the MEAC teams we played studied the game film closely. SC State, Hampton, and Del State watched our past game films from our first 3 games and realized...our offense has some glaring weaknesses. Heck, if you watched us on ESPN against Howard in the second half, you realized that our offense had some major issues. Our offensive line doesn't block well and the other team's defensive front four can get in the backfield without blitzing; they also don't run block very well either; our receivers are "average" and have a 50/50 chance of dropping balls; we run up the middle on most first down plays; and last but not least, our QB has slow feet, is not a run threat and is incapable of hitting the side of a barn with a brick when he forced out of the pocket. So if we could avoid allowing opposing teams seeing our game film we could sneak up on more of these bad teams in our conference we are playing. But unfortunately, everyone now has seen the film and they are prepared to take advantage of our weaknesses. All we can do now is hope we find more opponents that have really bad coaches or receivers that cannot catch a pass.

I think we are giving the QB time, but there are no open receivers to throw to and they have dropped a few. The reason Cohen is getting the yardage is because of good upfront blocking and his ability to get to the second level. Is he doing this by himself? I counted several seconds on the pass plays the last game and there was time to throw. They had one sack for a nine yard loss. That's pretty good considering we threw the ball twenty-four times. We are building. At the beginning of the year it looked as if we were going to be ahead of schedule. Now it looks as if we are back to being on schedule. I think Broadway has only played no more than seven guys he has recruited. We should see more improvement next year. Patience. Let’s not get into the same criticizing that was used for the pre-Broadway years. Let's get some good in these posts. When Broadway recruited my son, he told him what to expect and he has not lied. Coaching cannot erase player errors (especially the penalties) blown assignments, yes. Let's not turn on the team. Check out some of these other teams who are not doing so well.

Whats VULs record for the season? Can someone please tell me why just why don't we use the TE more ?. A friend on the coaching staff at DSU was telling me that A&T's TE was open in the middle of the field all day lol. But they knew we would never throw to him . He stated that if we had used the TE's we could have changed the game and opened up the running game. What is the problem with using the TE's ??

Well I haven't broken down Saturday's game tapes yet but here's my guess...the QB has got to throw the ball to the TE's for them to catch it! I've said this a couple of dozen times but I'll say this once more...our offensive line doesn't give Kindle enough time to stand in the pocket and go through his receiver progression. And Kindle isn't very accurate if he has to scramble in the pocket. So if he's rushed in the pocket he locks in on the first receiver in his progress and lets it rip. The teams that have beat us have watched the game film and knows this about our offense. So it's not that we don't want to use the TE's, it's that we don't have the talent to get the ball to them.

Hey daddyaggie, please do not pay too much attention to some of the frustrated posts on this site. Some of these guys expect the team to play like Florida State despite the fact that we neither have the talent or resources they have. I keep reminding folks...three years ago we were a "dead team walking" with a history of over 10 years of losing and NCAA sanctions. I want some of these folks to go look at the records of other teams that have had NCAA sanctions similar to ours and see how they have done. Heck, it's tough for anyone at this level to win with all of their scholarships, spring ball and full practice time. It's impossible to win without them. So disregard these guys on here that are foaming at the mouth about the coaches and their play calling. We have the right people coaching the team and fortunately we have the right AD and Chancellor running the show. They will do what's right for the team, the players and the University. And eventually some of the frustrated fans will understand that. Aggie Pride!!

I don't think my frat Bro would have said that if the QB's didn't have the time. 4 seconds is a lot of time to find a big target like a TE standing wide open in the middle of the field are on a wheel rout up the side line. I continue to harp on this JUST USE THE DOG GONE TE . If the QB's are not getting the time then why don't they keep the TE in to help with the blocking ?
