If you will be in Greensboro during New Student Move-In, please consider volunteering! Also please share with your alumni networks.
New Student Move-in will take place on Thursday, August 15, 2013 from 12pm - 3pm and Saturday, August 17, 2013, from 9am - 5pm.
Volunteers may contact the Office of Student Development at dipayne@ncat.edu or by calling 336.334.7792 to be put on the list of volunteers by Wednesday, August 7th at close of business (5:00pm).
Information needed when signing up:
Shift you or your organization will be available to work (shift information is listed below),
T-shirt size, and 3) contact information and name of organization (if applicable).
Volunteers must sign up.
Please note the following information for ALL volunteers:
ALUMNI, FACULTY/STAFF, COMMUNITY, AND STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS VOLUNTEERS
Volunteers are being requested to work 4 hour shifts. Volunteers will report to Murphy Hall on August 15th at 11:30am (one shift) and on August 17th at 8:00am (8:00-12:00pm shift) or 11:45am (12:00pm-4:00pm shift).
A later shift (2pm-6:00pm) is also available.
Volunteers will be assigned to residence halls and lunch details will be provided.
Volunteers will sign in for work and indicate start/end time, time will be monitored.
T-shirts will be provided to all volunteers. Volunteers are required to wear t-shirts while assisting students moving into residence halls.
Volunteers will assist students and parents with moving personal belongings into residence halls. Volunteers should not move any electronics items.
Lunch will be provided to volunteers that work a minimum of 4 hours.
Meal tickets are required to enter into the cafeteria.
Upon completing the 4 hour shift, students will earn 4 CASE hours.
Volunteers will be given name badges by the Office of Student Development during check-in that must be worn at all times.
