No doubt this week the coaches and players will work on special teams. It also seems that backup QB, Morgan, will get most if not all of the reps with first team offense this week. The defense played very well last Saturday so I guess they will continue their normal preparations.
A&T for the first time this season will face a team that has more talent and more team speed than them. One advantage A&T may have over Hampton is more game experience as a team together.
Hampton didn't look smooth in their game against Howard but that was their first game of the season. Just like A&T improved their play in certain areas in their second game expect the same for Hampton.
The one serious unknown in this coming game is how many turnovers the Aggies' offense and special teams will commit. If its no more than one turnover I see a 21-point loss for the Aggies but if it becomes a slew of hapless mistakes it will get ugly early. If it does get ugly early thank your lucky stars that Joe Taylor is the coach because he will call off the dogs by the middle or end of the 3rd quarter because he is gentleman.

It'll go into the fourth quarter and Hampton will work hard on running the ball to their detriment. But they'll be able to win a closer than expected game by passing the ball and on returns.

I am sorry but Hampton know this game is on ESPNU and need to put up a number so they move up in the D-1AA poll.
Hampton 51 A&T 13.
The punt returner from Hampton will get 2 TD

What the hell?
Dooms did you forget we have a inexperience QB. Thats by itself will not keep us close. The Offense has got to put up points. You can't just run the ball. Hampton is going to shutdown the running game and force Morgan to throw the ball. Joe T ain't stupid.
Enough said
Hampton:45
A&T:9

Hey trues, that might just be hope talking, but if we throw one play action pass, even if it's incomplete, Hampton will back off of the run for a few plays.
I'm also thinking that there's no way their players get up for this game. They got up for the Howard game. We ain't challenged them in a while.

Has anybody looked at the stats from the HaU/HoU game?
1- Both with 405 yards total offense (HaU: 68-405, HoU: 77-405) 2- HaU - 310 yards passing, 19-36, no INTs 3- HoU - 244 yards passing, 21-37, no INTs 4- Kickoff Returns-Yards - HaU: 4-110, HoU: 7-128 5- Third-Down Conversions- HaU: 8 of 16, HoU: 9 of 18 6- HaU only 95 yards rushing 7- Punts (Number-Avg) HaU: 5-53.0, HoU: 5-44.8
RECEIVING: Hampton University-GILCHRIST,Jerem 8-93; TEEL,Kevin 4-110; BROWN,Justin 2-45; MORGAN,Van 1-38; LLOYD,Kyle 1-10; PAYTON,Qutrell 1-10; WIGGS,Marcus 1-8; McPherson,D. 1-minus 4.
Howard University-WILLIAMS,J. 9-101; DUNCAN,Larry 5-61; HOOD,Arlandus 4-25; SLAPPY,Rodney 1-43; SHERMAN,Brandon 1-7; BATTEN,Chris 1-7.
Both of these teams excel at our weaknesses; special teams and pass defense. We get very little pressure on the QB and their passing looks to be in mid-season form. Though they were called back we have given up TDs on punt returns each week.
