I went to see it at the cheaper afternoon matinee and and was pleasantly surprised. It was a fairly entertaining flick and the house was half packed for a 12:45 pm showing. Its also doing well at the box office so I'll retract my "direct for cable" remark from a couple of weeks back.
I was wrong.

Every Alumni Chapter should go see the movie or host a watch party as a get together for local aggies. It could be used to support membership and recruitment. But we dont think along those lines.

I merely pointed out that it is still holding down the number one spot for another week. Kudos for the movie and its cast. If you like, we can agree to disagree about whether or not one should support the movie simply because of who has a role in it.

Fellow BGMM members, fellow alumni and friends, I attended the A&T Alumni Association Annual Meeting in Greensboro yesterday and got an update on the efforts to raise funds for the Macy Thanksgivings Parade. The budget for the event is $450,000. The University had committed to pay $250,000 of that expense. Of the remaining balance, we have raised as of March 30th $50,000. So now that you know the numbers, it's time to get in gear and send in your contribution. President Obama ran a winning campaign in 2008 with small donations and we can finance the A&T Marching Band's trip the same way. So go crack open your piggy bank and send what you have. If enough of us send in a little bit of money every month, we will have more than what we need. Please don't wait another day. Send your contribution to the A&T Foundation or go on-line and contribute electronically. Let's go Aggies and show your Aggie Pride!
