At the AAF and alum affairs reception on Saturday night Martin stated that he and Hilton read all the e-mails and letters that they receive about Aggie fans' concerns about the BB program. Martin hinted that they have receive a lot of them and that they understand every's concerns. He also hinted that people need to slow down on sending their concerns because they really do understand and that we should trust that they will do what is best for A&T's athletic. He stated that we all want to see A&T athletics succeed. He did not say or hint that they will be getting rid of Eaves.

The emails must not stop, can not stop and will not stop until he makes a decision. Hopefully for everyone's sake, a reassignment is in the works and our Lawyers are ironing out the details.

I think you guys have done your job...you've voiced your concern to Dr. Martin and the AD about the mens basketball program. Mission Accomplish! He has acknowledged that he has gotten the message and understands. Now I think it's time to "chill" and let the Administration do their job. So I think sending more emails at this point is overkill. I have confidence in this Administration and will support their final decision.

It's day #6 - NO WORD YET - CONTINUE WITH THE E-MAILS AND THE CONVERSATION FOLKS. I ain't convinced they get the point yet. If they did, he would have been gone the day after that pathetic Howard loss.
Hilton and Martin - the time of sitting on our hands is over. NINE YEARS IS ENOUGH......

aggiebred, i totally agree with you. no, its not a&t's responsibility to prop up the meac. but its a role that a&t should've been proud to accept and should've taken full advantage of. clearly our "traditional" fan support was a factor for moving the tourney back to north carolina. the meac is our conference and we ain't going nowhere. whatever we contribute to making the meac a better conference in turn helps a&t as an meac school. its in our own "self interests" for the meac to prosper. so we should be proud and willing to take on the role of boosting attendance at the meac tourney. yes, it benefits the conference. but it also benefits a&t too... So i guess the Raleigh failure was our fault too. I wouldn't be so sure about us always being in the MEAC? How do we benefit by helping the MEAC make money? Payouts will be the same. Remember the football championship where the MEAC office was to make 750 K a year on it. What were the school getting raleigh wasn't a failure. our tourney attendance figures were on a very steady incline every year that the tourney was held at the rbc. and it just so happens that eaves actually won 1 of his only 2 tournament game wins at the rbc which definitely helped attendance that year. yes, i personally blame a&t for "some" of the attendance failures in winston. i don't blame our fans cuz i think our fans are the best! i blame our past admins for doing such a poor job building a men's program that only won 2 tournament games over 9 years. our men are 2-11 (18% winning percentage) at the meac tournament since eaves became our coach and that's a major reason why attendance figures did not meet expectations in winston. every school in the meac benefits if the meac prospers. and when i say every school benefits, i don't mean "monetarily". i mean in terms of "prestige" which significantly helps with recruiting for everybody. there's only 3 or 4 schools in the meac who have the kind of fan following that can uplift the meac tournament, and a&t is one of them. to me, moving the tourney to norfolk is the meac's way of saying "we give up" on the hope that a&t will come thru in the later rounds of the tourney so that our attendance will increase. so let's move it to norfolk where the likelihood of norfolk or hampton making the final rounds is much better...

I agree, it didn't grow fast, but it was growing. Raleigh just didn't have the patience to wait. The RBC brings in some heavy traffic and the MEAC holds up to many days that they could have been using for other things that they didn't have to pay for. They still had terrible promotions though.

Personally, I think it is extremely important for all those who HAVE NOT called, e-mailed or wrote to Martin/Hilton to do so immediately. Also, if a decision is not made soon I urge all who HAVE contacted Martin/Hilton to do so again.
I cannot and will not sit back and watch what has transpired with MBB and go along to get along. That's insane. Feet need to be held to the fire because he should not have been extended 2 years ago. That was a travesty!
It's time for him to catch some hat and it should not take a long time to do it. Recruiting is and has begun for next year.
Thanks for the info Bigboy.
You all know what we gots to do.......let's make sure they get it done. I ain't new to this, I'm true to this and I am tired of taking shorts.

Its like pulling teeth to get alumni to get involved here in DC especially with the aggressive $250,000 giving goal by the end of the fiscal year... BTW, we have the Alumni Gala on April 13 DCAggieGala2012.EventBrite.com But I think Mr. Hilton and Dr. Martin will do the right thing. I hope they also give Coach Bibbs the extension that she deserves

Shoot, just get naborhood and aggie2ru to head it up. They will have plenty of energy once Eaves is gone, LOL. I bet they could hit the $250K mark without breaking a sweat if they use the same grit and determination as they have with getting Eaves out.
