We may have lost Brown but Terrell and Stewart are no joke. The kids from Hillside had a late afternoon press conference. DT Kevin Cousin also announced for us this afternoon. Not everyone's paperwork comes in on day one. Give it time.

That big 6-5 QB (Femi Bamiro) we got out of DC today is really a good looking Cam Newton type QB. Dorian Belcher is more like the QBs at Oregon, just a lot bigger.
Kindle is going to have some serious comp now at QB. It will only make him better or he'll be a back up. Both of these guys are very serious QB contenders. Coach Pizzo is estatic about about what he now has to work with at that position.
Rickey Lewis can now be free to move to tailback fulltime with Mayhew and Drake.

I expect to see highlights on youtube by the weekend or I can post their vids on a thread once the coaches finish up this month. I have the long version of everything that was put up tonight including one they didn't have on one kid.

This is getting crazy.. Marquis Boyan, QB, 6’0 185, Eau Clair high, SC Scout 2 Star QB/WR recruiting.scout.com/a.z?s=73&p=8&c=1&nid=5302238Did we just sig this kid? He gave a verbal to Georgia State but he’s not on their list. According to this article dated today, he signed with A&T. If we signed him, the QB talent we have coming in is considerable. Three Shamrocks find goldTwo Eau Claire players sign on to play at MEAC schools By AKILAH IMANI NELSON - ainelson@thestate.com By AKILAH IMANI NELSON The State E-Mail National Signing Day looked different at Eau Claire on Wednesday than it had in previous years. Three Shamrocks football players saw dreams come true, and the rest, coach Ronnie Baker said, “saw the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.” With Marquis Boyan inking with North Carolina A&T, MarQuise Jones with S.C. State and Jordan Stuckey signing with Atlanta’s Sports Preparatory Academy, half of the Shamrocks’ senior class is headed for college football. Is it me or is this a motivational tactic for Kindle by Broadway and Coach Pizzo?
If I was Kindle, seeing these QB's sign would motivate me to ball out of my mind this Spring.

Motivation? yes and no. We needed quality depth and we're getting that quality depth that actually now have the grades to match their talent going into camp this fall.
There are now 4 brand new legit QBs going into the fall camp behind Kindle. He'll have to work to keep his job and to quote Broadway "Real competition at any position makes you better."
Broadway also said A&T would sign a lot more players as the days go by now that the limited scholarship situation seems to have resolved itself within the last couple of weeks in January.
We will soon be seeing a second wave of signees other than the first 18 we signed on yesterday so don't be surprised when you see new names suddenly pop up out of no where.
He's loading up for bear.

Broadway stated that the reason that they did not sign but 1 RB is because he has faith in the RB's that he already have and that he will be able to use Ricky Lewis as a full time RB this season. They really feel good about Ricky being at RB. Also Broadway stated that there will not be a spring game this year, mainly due to the fact that they will only be allowed to have 5 days of practice this spring. We got scolly's back but not an increase in practice time. Coach Pizzo stated that the big 6'5" QB (Femi Bamiro) is fairly new to football and that he was mainly a tennis player before playing football. Femi's dad is also a DC police officer.

They really feel good about Ricky being at RB. The one he signed is solid. Mr Mcrae was All Cape Fear Region and rushed for over 1,300 while sharing the spotlight with another Scotland RB. He has deceptive speed and good balance from what I see in this video. A great addition to our running back corps. athletevault.com/index.php?id=6500

Not sure he's ready to compete for a back up role just yet. i haven't been able to find any video on him, but i agree. i read somewhere that he ran a 5.21 in the 40 at a nike camp. i hope that was a misprint. but his rushing stats aren't impressive at all. he did complete over 50% of his passes, which is good. but the high school league that he played in isn't one of the strongest leagues in the dc area, though it has been known to produce some major bcs top recruits. he also played on the same high school team that became "famous" across the country because they have a female head coach (who is "fine" by the way). no knock on the coach though because her team played in the dc public high school league's championship game but came up short. wish i could find some video on him...
