And when Eaves leaves, whomever the next coach is will be at min of 150 to 160 K per year. Where is that extra money coming from c'mon, professor. if we pay our next men's coach that much money then our admins are total idiots and they all need to be fired. where do ya'll come up with these outrageous salaries? there's no reason whatsoever for us to pay anybody that much money to coach our men. nobody in the meac (that i'm aware of) makes that kind of money unless its todd bozeman. nobody in the ciaa makes that kind of money. so why should we pay that kind of salary to anyone? Bozeman, Jackson and Fang Mitchell make or made over 200,000 per year with Fang and Boze getting a percentage of monies from the guarantee games.

No Division I men's coach is going to come in and make the same as the women's coach. It's not going to happen. These coaches have agents. 1st thing they are going to ask is what's the salaries of the coaches of the department. Then ask coaches of the MEAC. If Bibbs makes 132K , 150 is probably going to be the starting point. You don't have to believe me, just watch. You have already seen that we will pay money for coaches. you're wrong, professor. head coaching jobs are too hard to come by. there's plenty of coaches who would love to have our job and would gladly take less pay than coach bibbs. some of you folks don't know basketball coaches. i'd be willing to take a bet from anybody on this site for any amount of money that what i stated is true. any takers? i'd be glad to take that bet anyday...

Aggie Jazz, I could see a State or UNC paying an in-state opponent more $. But refresh my memory I dont think we have played an in-state ACC school for 3 or 4 years. I dont understand why a Big 10 school or Pac 10 school would pay us more $ - As an example - Michigan can play Del State for $100k or us for $135k ? Why would they pay more ? In most cases their fans are not familiar with either team. The money that State and those guys pay in-state schools as guarantees pale in comparison to the out of state guarantees.

eaves has to bring in at $500,000 to the department it is written in his contract. His program on gets $135,00 of the $500, 000. Out of the $135,000 Eaves has to pay for his assistiants coaches. Not true....

So a Div II Coach has an agent ? LOL So you are telling me that one of the better CIAA coaches that probably makes $75K is not going to come and Coach a D I team for $120K because the womens Coach makes more and his agent says its a bad deal? Some of you guys must think we are an ACC school !!!! thank you very much, frisco. some folks just don't understand that every coach doesn't make a ton of money and that head coaching jobs (in fact, coaching jobs period) are hard to come by compared to the number of coaches seeking employment...

I hate to say this but I hope Hilton removes Coach Eaves after this road trip. Promotes Stit and gives him a shot the rest of the year and waits to begin Coaching search at the end of this season.
If Stit does well for balance of the year let him Coach next year and make a decision on the program after 2013. If Stit could show some promise removing Eaves would not cost us a dime Eaves could finish out his year re-assigned within the university as his contract goes through next b-ball season.
My gut says if Eaves were re-assigned he would quit immadiately not costing us any funds. I really hate saying this but I feel the kids on the team deserve better.

There are 344 Division I jobs. Hell Wes Miller is a head coach , kid that played at UNC a few years ago. You know all these coaches , Name me 5

IF YOU KEEP EAVES YOU KEEP ON LOSING! I REMEMBER BACK IN THE DAY A&T HIRED A LITTLE KNOWN COACH GENE LITTLES AND HE DID A GREAT JOB IN TURNING THE PROGRAM AROUND. THERE ARE ALOT OF GOOD COACHES OUT THERE THAT CAN COACH AND RECRUIT. THEY WILL NOT BREAK THE BANK. RECRUITING IS THE KEY!
