I'm tellin ya Carver Bible College almost upset FAMU a couple of years ago. We better not take em lightly. Definitely don't wanna lose to a team full of pastors.

J&W is a favorite opponent for a lot of D-I teams looking for a win this season.
Remember folks, Coach Broadway has the same mindset when it comes to scheduling.

I think if we score 100 points against Johnson and Wales all the fans in attendance should receive free cupcakes.

normally, i don't have a problem with scheduling cupcakes early in the season "if" we're rebuilding, have a lot of new players, or have new coaches. but eaves is not rebuilding this season, he's loaded with experience on his team. no reason to schedule a "johnson and wales" for this team.
given our ooc road schedule, i still think its okay to schedule a cupcake or two early in the season. but why not a greensboro college or a guildford college instead of some no name school? how 'bout one of the weaker ciaa teams?
our home schedule is not fan friendly. we're still playing those "gawd awful" saturday afternoon meac games that fewer fans attend. we've got teams like j&w, carver, and barber scotia coming to corbett who nobody cares about. we can do much better than that...

I think NCCU played them. Duke played Shaw in exhibition. I dont mind these games before the UNC-G & NCCU games. We have stuff to work on. Our press needs work. We caused a lot of turnovers against those bigger programs, but it fell off. Can we get a good fast-break flow going? ect.
IDK if we need the rest, or not. I would like to see us work on 'who plays well with whom'. Will L Smith get another Dbl-Dbl? Will others keep their stroke? Will Kam come forth?
Things are about to pick up, the 'G & Central games will be tough. And Dec with have us on the road to Hawaii for a cup of coffee. I dont mind starting this being 3-3.

Below is Johnson & Wales' schedule and results to date this year. I believe they are a D-III team.
Oct. 29 at Emmanuel (Ga.) L, 82-55
Nov. 1 at Barber Scotia L, 68-55
Nov. 7 Montreat College L, 87-75
Nov. 11 Belmont Abbey L, 108-55
Nov. 13 at N.C. Central L, 115-41
Nov. 15 at Greensboro L, 96-71
Nov. 18 at Guilford L, 86-71
Nov. 19 Bridgewater (Va.) L, 85-41
I noticed Barber Scotia beat them. In any case, GOOD LUCK AGGIES and let's beat who ever is on our schedule.........
