I dont understand why we have a livewire and a aggie maniac. Isnt that being "exclusive" when there are plenty of other students with just as much pride? Lets stop the divisions and just figure out a way to have a straight up pep section where all the students with Gold shirts can congregate. Creating these organizations is more self serving than it is pride creating for the schools.
The band looked great and sounded great. Its a new day, lets stop all this old mess. Much of the division has to do with old Aggies butting on something that should be student driven. Pay for your season tickets and let the students make their own fun at the games.

As we all know or should know, the Maniacs is the idea from Keith whom went to the SGA VP of Ext. Affairs to head up the organization. What should happen is that both organizations should be forced to merged and become financially supported by both the Athletic Department, AAF, SGA and membership fees.

Thanks BGMM ,halftime and stands were popping. Now i don't have to fight the crowd to get into that corner to see the tunnel routine. That in itself is worth the price of admission.

That would take the leadership of someone that has clout. Good luck with that, have been having this discussion for awhile now.

I dont understand why we have a livewire and a aggie maniac. Isnt that being "exclusive" when there are plenty of other students with just as much pride? Schools from the BCS to the NAIA have student pep squad/spirit organizations. There is nothing exclusive about a student led organization with open membership that supports their athletic teams at games...There is no audition process, field cuts, intake process or anything. If you can wear a gold shirt, learn some cheers, and show up to a meeting you can be a livewire...its really THAT simple. The Livewire's passed out brochures at their table at the organization showcase during Welcome Week, held an interest meeting, and are having another one this week just in case folks couldnt make the first one, and are actively recruiting students at games...I never understood this whole exclusivity arguement. heck, if the aggie club and victory club can merge, why can't the maniacs and livewires merge? i can understand two booster clubs with distinctive roles, but i can't understand two separate pep clubs that have the same role... I never understood the purpose of having both either. To me it was reinventing the wheel and doing something that was already in action...but that was a decision made by someone else and we all know the history of that... What should happen is that both organizations should be forced to merged and become financially supported by both the Athletic Department, AAF, SGA and membership fees. **Disclaimer** Im Not trying to step on toes, claim to know more than I do, or throw any stones. What im about to say is in no way a direct reflection of The opinions The Aggie Livewires Organization, and I speak solely for myself "Aggie Blues"A merger is a fine idea, but is it really needed? This whole thing is a moot point and non issue. The Aggie Maniacs Group is not even on the yard anymore, and havent been since (correct me please if mistaken) the basketball season after last. Since the Maniac group folded, the doors of the Livewire Organization have been open to anyone who wanted to join...some decided to join, while other chose not too...Weekly meetings, open invitations for membership aside, The show still has to go on, even if one decides to sit on the sidelines... Yes, complete financial backing from Our Athletic Department or even a small crumb of a line item from the SGA yearly budget would amazing for Livewire, but its not something that they get, so the kids do what they can, with what they have, and make do each year.

I also want to know if the band is going to the App St. game? I heard that they might not be going. I hope that is not true.
