Another recruit that NC A&T signed is Simon Barres www.youtube.com/watch?v=TRPTxDKSCUI. I believe he's from France but placed at Evelyn Mack Prep School in Charlotte. Not sure what he's size is, but looks like a 6-6/6-7 4-3.

Waylan Siverand is 6'7" about 205. He doesn't have great size of 230+, but is fast and doesn't mind going up against size. Not a post, but can take you off the dribble. I have seen this kid play a minimum of 15 times. He had a few other D1 offers

Why the heck is an all state football db going to walk on the basketball at A&T? I mean, this kid is ALL STATE, not region, not area but STATE. If his ankle is good enough for basketball, he can play football. His basketball highlights on youtube are solid but the football team really needs his services. I suppose the scholarship isn’t there now but perhaps next year…….. Cummings ALL STATE FOOTBALL PLAYER GOING TO NCA&T to play Basketball
Trey Smith was an all-state football player as a Cummings High School senior even if he didn’t fit the part. So when basketball season arrived, it didn’t matter that he had challenges to overcome then, too. By the end, Smith became a two-sport standout with the Cavaliers. He graduates tonight, and from there he’ll head to North Carolina A&T, where he’ll be a preferred walk-on in the basketball program.More: varsity.thetimesnews.com/articles/smith-3150-cummings-football.htmlwww.youtube.com/watch?v=yQannMs8oC0

eaves must have run out of scholarships, because from what i can see on his video, dude can flat out ball! the news article said he's projected to play at the off guard position at a&t, but to me he appears better suited for the point guard position, especially considering his size.
he can flat out stroke the basketball from 3 point land, he's very quick, can get to the cup and finish, he's a very good passer, and what i really like about him is that he's an "in your face" defender. imo, his only negative is his size. he's almost a clone of marc hill.
maybe he's not considering football at the fcs level because of his size, although db's don't take very much pounding. but despite his size, i was impressed with his basketball skills...

I agree. I like his game, especially his patience and control. Though he has a good shot and handles, he’s never in a rush.

Give him credit for being smart. He and I both understand at only 150 pounds that would be a huge stretch as a cornerback on the college levell, all-state or not.
Besides we're going to need another true point guard coming off the bench who can shoot and handle the ball .

This kid has serious game. Reminds me of a cross between Austin Ewing and Steve Rush. He has the really good ball control, He's a strong three shooter and but can create his own offense with his dribble penetration. Eaves helped his situation a lot by finding himself a really sharp point guard for next year. www.youtube.com/watch?v=yQannMs8oC0

FYI Cookman University Men’s Basketball Coach Clifford Reed announced the signing of two players to National Letters of Intent today.
Dustin Clements (6-8, 235) from Faulkner State (Ala.) Community College and David Baroum (6-9, 250) of St. Petersburg (Fla.) Junior College will join the defending Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference regular season champions for the 2011-2012 season.
“To remain an upper echelon program, we need a strong interior presence,” Reed said. “These two players have the potential to make a significant contribution to our continued success.”
Clements, who played his high school ball at Gulf Breeze HS in Pensacola, Fla., averaged 14 points and seven rebounds for Faulkner State last season. In 2009-10, he garnered the Alabama Southern Conference Freshman of the Year award as he averaged ten points and eight rebounds as his team reached the state junior college semi-finals.
“Dustin is a very athletic and mobile big who can score with his back to the basket,” Reed said. “He gives us a physical presence in the post.”
Originally from Chad, Africa, Baroum played his high school ball at Virginia power Bethel HS in Hampton, Va., before moving to St. Petersburg, where he was named to the All Suncoast Conference second team last year.
“David is a very good defender and rebounder,” Reed said. “He’s a physical presence as well and has the ability to score around the basket."
B-CU finished 21-13 in 2011-2012, capturing the program’s first regular season conference title and making its first post-season appearance since joining Division I, facing Virginia Tech in the opening round of the NIT.
