I believe we (some former players under Bill Hayes and some who played with C Maynor at A&T) tried to get a letter and info together a few years ago to get C Maynor at A&T BUT I guess they didn't want him.
Did you all know that Bill Hayes is the AD at Winston, Maynor is the head football coach, and John Eder (who coached QB's under Hayes at A&T) are running the show at Winston? I think it was a mistake to let Coach Hayes go and we have been paying for it ever since, with the exception of one year (I think) and that may have still been the kids that Hayes recruited and was grooming.

This was all on the offense. Defense played well most of the night.
The offense was Horrible. You know WSSU actually turned the ball over 5 times. 2 interceptions and 3 fumbles. Who does that and still wins?
When you playing a inept offense I guess its possible.

I thought the defense played well throughout until the last possession by Winston. I think by then and with some injuries they had run out of steam. They had given the offense numerous opportunities to score by interceptions, sacks, and fumble recoveries. The offense lacked imagination and the inability to execute.
I suppose Mayor and Hayes high fived all the way back to Winston because of the "snub". I was surprised at Winston's attitude after the game (players and cheerleaders). However, they were controlled by their coaching staff. Wheeler and Lee can't afford to lose to Div. II teams. Looks bad for a so called "D1AA". They owned us in basketball last year. Their band has a great little beat to rev their crowd up. They used in the basketball. Our band should take note. I won't mention our band's unimaginative performance. Without the young ladies, percision marching (beginning of their show) and blowing well (beginning of their show), they pretty much shoot blanks or fizzle when they attempt to do anything else.

Lets not forget that we had 2 "brain farts" deciding to send out the field goal unit. Why in the hell were we waiting to send them out? We rush and missed both.

Rattler, They basically just rubbed it in our face. I didn't really mind it from the cheerleaders and band. Win at home and you dont have to worry about it. They deserve to strut a little bit.
Their football team was going to hop on the Aggie logo, but our guys blocked that from happening.

First time I have ever seen an opposing teams buses and players standing outside of where our players exit from their part of the field house.

Not a good night for Chennis Berry. The playcalling and offensive line play was atrocious. Both are his responsibilities.

To his defense, there's not much you can do when you don't have a quarterback who can complete a forward pass. Webb looked like the bright lights and packed house were too much for him out there. Receiver were running wide open all game long but our QBs couldn't pull the trigger.
However, I was surprised that our senior-laden offensive line couldn't establish more of a running game. But then again it's hard to run the ball when everyone in the stadium knows you can't pass it.
