Seems having Robert Smith back did make a difference defensively and also going inside for a change.
Wonder if Jerry has been reading the board this week?

Oleschoolaggie,
I only heard the last part of the game. Did the team still take multiple 3's or did the off set seem to change a little ?

per Espn we shot: FG 51% (25-49)...3pts: 40.9%(9-22). >Whereas SCSU shot: FG 35.6%,(21-59)... 3pts:13.6%( 3-22). A Whitter had no points but 7 assists. Nice work. Rob played, 6pts and 2 blocks Nic was 2-3 with 3 pt. shots. He needs to have the spotlight a little more when they kick out the ball from the inside. Porter had 3 blocks, and above all, He and Coleman had no turnovers.
WSSU beat NSU in Gaines. Get your popcorn ready for Monday nite. The table is set! Coleman needs to explode for 30!

Coleman needs to block a shot and throw it to the 5th row! Nah, He just needs to start a fast break off of his block like Marvin Webster. We need this Winston game, ( a break in league play) in order to let the league feed off of each other. Someone needs to stop Morgan.

Congrats to Coach Eaves. I'm glad to see him adjust his strategy on the 3 pointers and work the ball inside more. I'd like to see us reduce that to around 18 per game.

Bulldogs drop 67-58 decision to Aggies By THOMAS GRANT JR., T&D Senior Sports Writer Sunday, January 24, 2010 Defending the three-point shooting of North Carolina A&T was a concern for South Carolina State men’s basketball coach Tim Carter heading into Saturday’s game. It turns out his team’s lack of proficiency from behind the arc was as much the cause for the 67-58 loss to the Aggies. In dropping its seventh contest in the last 10 games, S.C. State (8-8, 2-3) shot a woeful 3-22 from behind the arc and 35.6 percent from the field. As much as Carter preached about perimeter defense, the Aggies (6-13, 2-4) managed to hurt the Bulldogs in other ways offensively. Using a “flex” offense, North Carolina A&T was able to cut away from defenders off screens to free up shooters like Tavarus Alston, who had a team-high 18 points, including four three-pointers, and Dwane Joshua, who had 11.This allowed the Aggies to rack up 17 assists for the game, seven by forward Austin Witter, who was 0-8 for the game. North Carolina A&T fared much better as a team, hitting 9-22 from three-point range and a blistering 51 percent from the field. For the rest of the story: thetandd.com/articles/2010/01/24/bulldogzone/doc4b5bd54dc4e8a478783254.txt
