Sixities I agree.
Although a 1-1 and split sure would have been a little more acceptable. Even with Johnson out of the lineup.
Hopefully we can pick up the next two home wins. Hopefully they can put a roll together like last year a little earlier in the season. In additon the younger guys have been on the floor for some quality minutes this year.
I think the ladys have defined who they are for 09-10 season and we know alot about our freshman and J. Sams is coming on strong and hopefully Tweet's back is good from here on out. Murdah is probaly the only mystery.
I am not sure who the men are yet. Joshusa is probably the most consistant on off. followed by Johnson and Coleman brings the def. present. A side from that I am not sure anyone else has defined there role. Simpson played well early on but with Johusa back he has sort of disapperaed.

The one thing the Ladies can always count on is playing good defense to get them through the nights when their shots are not falling. Often that stingy defense leads to easy scoring opportunities at the other end.
I am not sure the men have that same safety net. If we are not shooting lights out and out-scoring teams, then we have a hard time winning.

It seems that Coach Eaves knows exactly what the problem is with his team based on the quote below:
“We have to clear out the offensive rebounds pickup the loose balls,’’ said Eaves. “That’s what lost the game for us. We have to grow up and become more physical and go get the ball. We’re a good team, but until we become men and rebound that basketball, we’ll always come up a little short.”
Problem is they all wear white lab coats the closet thing to a blue collar player is Porter. Porter gives it the effort and he is athletic, but he must have small hands because he never has good control of the ball and at 6'9' he should be able to grab a off. board go straight up and dunk it but I have never seen that happen.
The girls on the other hand have a few players who show up in steel toe boots and a hard hat. And they also have players who have a finesse game but can also go blue collar - Tweet, Calvin, Berry, Sams

I agree with Eaves. That comment is applicable to the FAMU game. I'm curious if the stats would bear this out, but visually, FAMU wanted the ball more than we did.
