Yes it would.
I can cite numerous programs that saw monumental increases in defensive production by just inserting a different coordinator. Even though we bashed Lee, look how much better the defense got from the year before he arrived to the year he came. Look how much worse it's gotten since he left. Look at how much worse the dbs got immediately after Hart left.

You might be right. Maybe a little better, but you cant make sweet tea with a sugar substitute. It just aint the same, no matter how much you add.
Stack the line and our CBs are on an island. Dont stack the line and we get it ran down our throat.
See you at homecoming.

No you won't. I ain't coming.
Well, those have been our weaknesses since the year after Deloatch left and Herb passed. The dbs didn't become a glaring weakness until Hart was forced out. The run defense didn't become a glaring weakness to the point people noticed until this year.

Have we blitzed at all the year? If so, when? Was it successful?

honestly, would the coach this year on defense make a difference? We getting man handled. The problems you see on the field were sown from January through the first of August. Why did things go from bad to worst during that time? You have about three versions: from coaches and their supporters, "the returning players are just not good and the new players are young"; from more than a few of last year players, "the coaches were not organize and the coaches just dismissed them as worthy football players"; from the athletic administrations, "returning players either failed to cut it in the classroom or they just quit the team." To realists of the football program the losses were never unexpected with maybe the one exception of the WSSU loss. It is how badly these losses are occuring game after game that may have surprised the football realist that have watched the Aggie football program the last few years . The first four games the defense gave up over 40 points a game and points given up in the last two games were 32 and 37. I have not even discussed the the turnover prone offense. If Howard scores anywhere near 30 points in A&T's homecoming, I think the players will just quit playing on the field for the rest of the season.
What Coach Fobbs, his staff and the athletic administration do next year from January through August is the big question.

can we get some segregation of duties on this staff?? we got a HC / OC and now DC / DL coach and whatever else they both have their hands in. I know the Fobbs thing was that way from the jump but I know from personally being on teams where 1 man did too much that it doesn't work well. We need both - an OC and a DC.

We couldn't stop the DSU play where their QB would keep the ball after a couple of fakes. They scored a couple of times using the play and got several big gains out of it. D.Adams was yelling at the defense but it didn't do any good. We need to get some more defensive coaches because D.Adams was the only coach I saw with the defense on the sideline. I'm beginning to wonder if some of the defensive players are losing confidence. Several of them seemed to not pay much attention when the coach was trying to give them instruction. How can you have an effective defensive philosophy when you don't have enough coaches to teach it? BTW - Our offense is coming along. W.Campbell is going to be fine. Damn it Hawk, you were at the game!! How come you didn't sign the roll call? I would have been on the look out for you.

Don't forget Lavigne coached LB or DBs also.
