GREENSBORO, July 13, 2009 – The North Carolina A&T football program added three signees as the 2009 season approaches quickly. On Monday, head coach Alonzo Lee announced the signing of two defensive players and one offensive lineman. Cornerback Kevin Green (6-foot, 185 pounds, Tallahassee, Fla.) offensive tackle Terrance Humes (6-5, 320, Compton, Calif.) and linebacker Eteyen Edet (6-2, 240, Fort Washington, Md.) all signed with other schools before coming to N.C. A&T. Green comes to North Carolina A&T after spending one season with the Purdue Boilermakers of the Big 10. He played in nine games for the Boilermakers in 2008. Purdue signed Green out of Rickards High School, where he put together a stellar career. Rivals.com ranked him 64th nationally among cornerbacks. As a senior, he recorded 49 tackles, recovered three fumbles, returned two fumbles for touchdowns and has an interception. Green’s play earned him All-State, All-Big Bend and All-District honors. Humes is a junior college transfer out of San Bernardino Valley Junior College. He was a two-year starter for SBVJC. As a high school standout at San Bernardino High School, Humes was a two-time All-San Andreas League member. Humes was named Cardinal Lineman of the Year during his junior and senior seasons in high school. Edet was highly-recruited coming out of Friendly High School. Scouts.com rated him the No. 41 linebacker in the country. Edet turned down Louisville, Ohio, Pitt, Michigan State and UNC to sign with the University of Maryland. After his decision to play at Maryland did not work out, he spent one season at North Carolina Tech Prep School, where he had a successful season. www.ncataggies.com/Football/2009%20articles/AGGIE%20RECRUIT%204.htm

When I saw that Terrance Humes weighed 335 I cringed a little but he doesn't look to bad in this photo (#79).

Decks, Humes is a Juco. I would be more concerned if he was that size straight out of HS.

Sweet.
Edet - a big strong MLB for the 4-3 who can run; Humes - a huge experienced left tackle that which now allows Enoch Cohen back to move back to a pulling guard where he is a natural for that position, and Green - a big corner on the strong side and also a guy who can return punts and kickoffs on special teams as he did last year at Purdue, something we haven't had since Curtis Deloatch was here.
Very, very, nice pickups for Coach Lee. He's looking at "targeted" transfers for very specific needs rather than signing "the best available athlete" wholesale approach. I like that. It's the smart move.
They should fit in very nicely in the starting lineups going into camp at the end of the month answering some big question marks I had after spring ball ended.

Man...I like these moves. I was a little worried about us, with the other teams receiving players. Are we becoming a linebacker U? We could use this depth, because our defense was on the field a lot last year... they were nobel, but they would get worn down. Man I cant wait to get a look.

Decks correct me if I am wrong but thats not Terrance in the picture. The school Terrance is transferring from is in blue. #79 is with an oposing team.
But these are great pick ups. Green was a rivals 3 Star and Edet was a 2 Star. These guys could be impact players at any level

Edet sounds like an intense guy. I wonder why things didn't work out at Maryland? Oh well...their loss is our gain! Hopefully he can quickly mesh with Thornton and the rest of the D veterans. Man...Lee is gonna love coaching this dude! I don't know about yall, but it sounds like Blue Death is coming back in 09!

After watching his flims, "Edet - The Nigerian Nightmare". Thrilla doesn't even have to come up with a nickname for this guy. He is really scary. He's big, strong, fast and hits with bad intentions.
I have a feeling that with Edet, Thornton, Hedgepeth, Colbert and Jackson all at LB plus with the entire d-line returning intact with some extra depth along that second tier, somebody is going to get hurt real bad this fall.
I haven't seen a recruit that dominant on our campus in a looooooong time.

The late mr. Dixon that played for a&t in 03 remember he came in as a freshmen an he made a immediate impact playing that middle lb to thats who this guy reminds me of, an i say he has the possibility to that plus more, and from the looks of it everyone has something to look forward to this upcoming season.

Lee must see a lot of potential in Humes. His team finished 0-10 last season averaging 2.8 yards per rush and 88 ypg passing.
