Happy friggin Osborne.
If Penny is even remotely considering going to Georgetown College over A&T, he is probably not smart enough to be an Aggie anyway.

Bornthrilla, I think Cam is better than we all think but at this point his nerves just get the better of him when he is out there on the floor. Then that means he's not better than we think. You can't be serious. Give me a 4-guard lineup before you give me him at the 4. Look at it like this. Would he start for Bozeman? Our standards need to, at least, be up to teams in our own conference. Cam is a fill-in. that's a very valid point, bigboy. and i'd have to agree. now that marc hill has a year of experience, eaves just may have to consider starting him at the 1 and aston at the 2 next year. clearly they're the best two guards on the team. and eaves may have no other choice but to start kam unless the freshman from maryland can step in immediately. otherwise, i'd start hill and alston at the 1 and 2. coleman, johnson, and shepard in the front court...

ok I forgot about Powell & Alvis.
Will this work - most of the players Eaves has brought in from the Blue Grass State have been good ball players; but had issues off the court.

Hold up. Are we seriously talking about Kam Shepard starting next season? Like for real?
And you wonder why I didn't want this foolishness on the women's thread.

Penny - Last second shot www.kentucky.com/813/story/734025.htmlSaturday, Mar. 21, 2009 Notes: WKU connection unites coaches By Mike Fields and Mark Maloney - mfields@herald-leader.com Penny's picks Anderson County star C.J. Penny, who led the Bearcats to their first state tournament appearance in 12 years, said he will make his college choice within the next two weeks.Penny, a 6-foot-5 senior, will choose between North Carolina A&T and Georgetown College."Both have great programs and great coaches," Penny said. North Carolina A&T is coached by Jerry Eaves, who starred at Ballard High School and was on Louisvllle's 1980 NCAA title team. Georgetown is coached by Happy Osborne, one of the most successful coaches in NAIA hoops. I like in that video for CJ Penny, those cats just gave him the ball and ran away, knowing there was no chance they were getting it back! ;D But, where in the he!! is Georgetown College?

Ok... How about this lineup? In order to digest this, you will need a drink first. Hill, Alston, Simpson, Johnson and Coleman. Have our two favorite big men, Porter and Sheperd coming off the bench.

I would redshirt Kam Sheppard next year. He should have been redshirted last year. He wasn't ready to play college ball last year. This way, I believe we can get two years out of him as a starter. I will also look at redshirting Nic Simpson. The problem with doing this is that Eaves has two Maryland guys coming in that I feel should be reshirted.
Marc Hill - Pt Guard Joshua/C. J. Penny - Guard Alston - Guard Johnson - Forward Coleman - Forward
Eaves will try to insert Porter in as a starter. I think Porter should have played this year. Porter may have to start to ensure he will keep his head into the game.
If CJ is as dynamic as is his press clippings, I can't see Eaves keeping him on the bench after the first quarter of the season.

I think its more about him staying at home at a small school (big fish in a small pond) he knows versus going away out of state to much larger D-1 school. His GPA and entrance scores have him already quaified.
My guess, we'll get him come signing day.
