Jindal had about as much substance as a teaspoon of rancid vinegar. It is easy to criticize from the sidelines, but if your state is in the condition that LA is in and you refuse to get them some help. Then you need to be slapped. He has not done anything to help his people so far, and does not appear to have a plan to do so. He just spewed out the same old rhetoric. As Dooms pointed out, he was chosen to advance the idea that republicans are open to diversity or inclusiveness. Ha! They have both of the Steeles Sowell and a host of others to paint that picture. Republicans can get more of us when they show that they are genuinely interested in some of our ideas, interests and participation. Right now they feel that they can increase their base by sabotaging (they are working day and night) any idea that Obama has. They claim that they have great alternatives. Well, why didn't they use them in the fall or winter or spring or four years ago when they were in charge. Their base is still there and strong. Just take a look at the HBO documentary "America Right".
I agree with Dooms wholeheartedly on this one. Here are a couple of more things though. The current batch of Republicans ARE NOT conservatives. Bush was more liberal than Clinton when it came to spending. And Jindal's speech had more substance than ANY speech I've heard President Obama give.........he just looked like Donald Duck giving it. lol The reason his state isn't doing well is because it is saturated with people that are looking for handouts. There is chronic and generational poverty in that state and the people are addicted to government assistance. Furthermore, most of his problems were inherited. Now with that being said, I think he's an idiot for not accepting the money just to take a political stand.
Any one that has any kind of ambition or that has already made it, should be scared to death of anyone that wants to take more of your earnings to give to people who do little to nothing. Most people are fiscal conservatives and don't even realize it.
Aaaaaah!!! A true conservative. I guess. Everyone has a right to his or her expert opnion. Let's leave it at that.
