BTW: We have given GD more love and exposure on this site than anyone else. You can find out more about GD here than you can anywhere else on the Internet, besides GD's own official website. The very first Blue Death Valley Girl was even a GD member.
No one can say we are hating on GD.

Girl, I didn't catch no attitude with the GR lady. If you can't tell when I'm just teasing with you, then that's your problem. Half of GD's members work at my son's daycare. I live right next door to the junior assistant Golden Delight co-director (is that good enough for you Tiffany Those Golden Delight girls are the best. Except for when it comes to mixing sponge bob with Thelma Evans. Then, BR is clearly the best. Im not Tiffany

Dammit, if I have to explain all the inside jokes to you it defeats the purpose.
Tiffany got on me a while back because I said she was a "silent partner" and that Tanika was the real GD boss.
Tiffany also reads the board from time to time, along with her gospel singing brother, so I was just making a inside joke that I knew she would catch.
Trust me little lady, I am not hating on you or the rest of GD.
You and your fellow squad members are beautiful, thick, fine, and extremely talented in your own right.

He is only partial to Golden Delight because that is all he knows. They have been changing his diapers and feeding him milk (out of a bottle, silly. Get your mind out of the gutter) since he was 4 months old.
GD has helped raise him, so of course that is who his loyalties are now with.

beautaufuldlite, I could care less about starting drama between GD and BR.
Why can't I just state my opinion on who I think is more talented?
I didn't see anyone from GD getting mad when we talked about how great you guys performed this season and how gorgeous you all look whenever you are at a game.
I didn't see anyone from GD getting mad we chose the lovely and talented Keyanda Thompson as our very first Blue Death Valley Girl. Do a google search for "Keyanda Thompson" right now and see what's the first thing that comes up.
How come I only get accused of being a hater by you guys when I start to give Blue Reign a few props?

Golden Delight is a squad full of the most beautiful girls on campus.....They are classy, versatile, energetic, and of course sexy. We encompass a style that is unique to its own. There is no reason to imitate others or change our style to be more like anyone else becasue we are perfect the way we are. I find it flattering that BR has evolved and become more like us, kick lines, half steps and stand dances..oh my, I just love it. You won't see us changing out status on FB or feeding into the madness that others' have created. I must say last night BR really impressed me. The technical moves were very fluid, this has been the best performance I have seen in 3 years. But why the change??? Hip hop is a great style of dance and we even incoporate maybe 2 counts of hip hop in there somewhere. Yet and still, we look like who we are....GOLDEN DELIGHT! When did "hip hop" dancers begin to wear dance tights, jazz shoes, and dance shorts???...Whatever happen to the good ol days, when hip hop dancers wore baggy jeans, mesh tops, and their caps backwards? I say all of that to say this "Imitation is by far the BEST form of flattery"

See now, that is what you would call "starting drama." LOL
You guys can dish it out, but don't be getting mad when BR comes back with a rebuttal.
(Showtime, you have a call on line one ...)

For the record, I haven't removed any posts on this thread.
If something mysteriously disappeared that is because the author went back and deleted it.

I say all of that to say this "Imitation is by far the BEST form of flattery" im a little bit surprised at the heirs all these gd's are putting on. now lemme backtrack. i have been a fan of golden since i came in here summer 06 BUT as a former dancer and current dance enthusiast i think all of you all should bring it down a notch. you say thrilla is being instigative and alla that but what are you doin? addin fuel to the fire...that's jus thrilla. BOTH team have come up tremendously this season. let's not forget that it was just 07 that golden delight was mediocre. yall always had stands but this was the first year in my recolect that yall had fields too. yall had a good a$$ season don't get me wrong but not good enough to erase years of so-so. and thrilla...SERIOUSLY? br is more talented than gd? i dont agree. br dances...that's it...gd twirls AND dances...that's called talent boo! i saw some subtle flaws in br's performance last night most importantly those TWO incomplete pirouettes in the center of the court.[yea boo i saw it] and i quoted goldenlydelightful b/c everyone in the dance world knows that the best dancers [be squad or team] helm their craft by trying other dance forms. the fact that br did a kickline is irrelevant. the fact that they wear fitted clothes, jazz shoes, and dance tights is also irrelevant. obviously they are expanding their horizon. and did you really say hip-hop dancers wear baggy clothes and backwards caps??...i can't even slay you on that one. b/c that was jus ignorant on your part. i know white girls who know better.

I dont think any delight is acting like the are perfect. I think the message here is that #1) STOP COMPARING US TO BLUE REIGN!

(COMPUTER MALFUNCTIONS...LOL SORRY...continuing my post) That is not to say "we dont like them" or "we think we are better" or any other myths out there. What it means is leave both of us ALONE and let us do what we are put here to do. #2 Opinion or not...The comments DO fuel a fire. Topics commenting on the success of both groups seem to be better well served. Or even discussions of areas of improvement. But this "who is better than who" is real wack. The unfortunate thing is that many who post here dont know the reality or the history of why topics like this are not opinion in nature but destructive. A redneck has the opinon that coloreds are monkeys...do you want to hear that everyday?.........is it necessary? Oooh but its an "opinion" lol!! But when you have your own website, you can do whatever you want! ;D #3 You are right, GD HAS been on the come up and we DONT apologize for that. All I believe the young lady was trying to say is that in our world of HBCU Marching Band dance teams, groups are known for "signature" things. When you see your style, you know it. You can generalize all you want..tights, jazz slippers, who cares. That is an outside looking in perspective. When you eat, sleep and breath something for 9 of 12 months of the year, you recognize it...easily. Yes Hip Hop dancers CAN wear anything, but tune into UDA Nationals or any other high school/collegiate HIP HOP dance team and there is a certain dress associated with that...i believe that was the point. If BR is not a hip hop team...great...but they are not an auxiliary either. As long as these BR vs GD topics continue to be started it will be some mess. It wont matter how hard the directors/staff of each group work to lighten the mood and create a better atmosphere for our girls (which we have been trying to do). I honestly wish the people who CLAIM to be "fans" would truly LOVE the girls enough to let sleeping dogs lie. Unfortunately the desire to 1)have mega web hits, and 2) the ability to sit at your computer and watch people fuss as you laugh takes priority. When this thing comes to a head I will be sure to have all my copies of these posts handy for Dr. Sullivan Welborne. I had decided not to post anymore because this is the 1,024,513,155 topic on BR vs GD however when it appears we are being labeled as "holier than thou" or placing ourselves on a pedestal, you cant be more from the truth. You have to know the history. I have been going to A&T basketball games for 20+ years. I have seen the Aggie Essense evolve into Blue Reign. One thing I CAN say is that BR has gone towards a more HBCU band dance team model rather than a basketball/indoor/pom squad feel. Case and point, if you see UNCG dance team. (not that Im a fan) but they more closely embody that element of dance. (no stand dances/ripples, no walks and prances, etc) All that being said...job well done this season Blue Reign!! GD stay off this site and be somewhere getting ready. Football season is around the corner! GD are some of the most down to earth women you ever met. If this display of a wishwashy "supporter" is what you call Aggie Pride. We will pass. Shout out to BRANDMASTA!!!! Thanks for Sunday! You are the best! Bye Bye ;D ;D
