This didn't look anything like the team that lost to SC State on TV a few weeks ago. This team was more focus and discipline. Team still need to improve ballhandling and rebounding, but overall an impressive performance.

Whatever the look was it's my normal look. Plus if you had been there you probably would have had the same look. ;D BTW why weren’t you there? 90Aggie was there and drove alone (hell I won’t even drive across that bridge), Hawkeye drove down from Jersey. You live . . . what, 45 minutes away? Maybe, it was because it was my first time to Dover for a basketball game. What is that place a converted barn? ;D But did you see the plays I was passing to Coach? Who said he was stubborn. That Coleman dunk play . . . me!! ;D Seriously though, This was best game this team played from start to finish this year. They had stretches of bad guard play, but surprisingly only a total of 11 TOs. Most importantly the Xs & Os look good when you shoot the ball well, and this was a good shooting night and inside and out. DSU is actually better than I thought, this was a good road win. Actually I spent my entire day working on a contract that I would like to win. You see, I want to be able to match your givings to the Aggie Club, BDF, and AA! So who drove you across the bridge, George? Yeah, that converted barn is supposed to be fairly new, but they've been talking about getting a new gym! They need to get some fans first! I am still disgusted that we did not have 1 home game on ESPNU! They even gave WSSU a game, and they are not full fledged members yet. I agree, the X's & O's were very good. I'm just concerned about Coleman. He appears to be playing softer this year than his freshman year! He should be taking those guy's lunch money! We really need an assistant to coach the big guys!

Team still need to improve ballhandling and rebounding, but overall an impressive performance. you're absolutely right, aggierob. i think being tied for 2nd place has "re-energized" our team! we actually shot the ball well for a change, especially in the first half. don't know if we can keep it up but when our outside shots are falling, we can beat any team in the conference. and our defense was very good early on except when dubois got the ball on the block. dude just "thugged" his way to 20 points and no one seemingly could stop him. he just straight up "bullied" us in the paint! what we need is a sho nuff "thug" in the paint or either put some muscle mass on our existing post players...

oleschoolaggie, you are right about Dubois, he was dealing over his own man & Coleman at times. They has another Big that sort of went quiet near the end, but He was good too. The were both ending up with 2 & 3 footers. And the rebounding was hard. I watched some of the positioning as the ball was being shot, and it was every man for himself. Nic can fight & Coleman can hold his own. Our forwards did a good job once we got the ball to them. And D Joshua pushed the ball and made some nice plays. I dont really like our Bigs taking a charge but we got some calls last night. ...rubbing my eyes...are we in 2nd place...I still am surprised.

Down the stretch dsu was the recipient of 7 points on 3 missed calls. A&T can't get that kind of luck because either the foul is on them or they react to slow to a loose ball or a long rebound. One was the elbow (ncaa is tightening up on) by Dubois, the arm slap and steal from Wilson and the kicked ball by Dubois. All resulted in crucial points for dsu.

the guys are doing well right now but here's the scary part. imo, it seems whenever we have justification to feel good about ourselves, we get "overconfident" and start stinking up the joint! saturday's game against winston is a perfect setup.
we're on a 5 game winning streak, we're sitting pretty in 2nd place, we've previously blown out wintson this season, winston isn't playing well, and saturday's game does not count in the league standings. this is a "perfect setup" for us to have a letdown on saturday!
i'm afraid our guys may lose their edge. i'm afraid of "overconfidence" for the reasons i mentioned above. winston will be fired up because they want revenge! our guys may have a chip on their shoulders because we blew winston out last time and we've won 5 games in a row. our guys won't be on edge because this game will not impact our conference standings.
let's hope that we can overcome the mental hurdles that lie ahead. i'd hate to see us lose the momentum we have, but understand teams will play us tougher now because of the recent success we've had. so brace yourselves aggies! we could be in for a bumpy ride over our final 5 games. i don't think any of those games will be easy, not even winston.
keep an eye our on guys' heads. hopefully they won't get big! i mean, if they trot out for warmups on saturday as if they're kings of the world, we'll be in big trouble. eaves will have to remind our guys that we didn't win 5 games in a row by pushing an automatic button. basketball is a game of emotions and we have to continue to play with a high level of intensity, we have to stay on edge. the minute we start thinking we're better than we actually are, we'll be in trouble...

So Ahhbigboy, where have you been? You are so quick to post on a thread when we loose. We are on a 5 game winning streak and Eaves and company just beat one of the better COACHED teams in the conference on their home court. So all I got to say is whatsuuuuuuuuuuuup? LOL

You know, I can't even respect your crow. When I was posting, I didn't hear anything from you, but now here you are. You're like the cousin that comes to grandma's house only when she cooks. lol
I addressed what I thought about Eaves and the streak in oldeschool's post.

Gotta agree this was probably the most complete game by our squad in a long time. As I see it, T. Alston is the key to the success of this team. If he continues to play well, we'll be alright. Not sure if Kam is a bust or someone needs to put a foot in his behind. We need more production from him or free up a scholarship.
