Lee stated yesterday that he is not finish signing players. He is still out there "beating the bushes". Speaking of Fulton, was there not some talk of his being moved to SS? I might be wrong, it could have been someone else.

Football signee Moody dropped from Georgia: 'I'm not upset about it'
By Marc Weiszer | marc.weiszer@onlineathens.com | Story updated at 5:54 pm on 3/16/2009
Georgia has cut ties with football signee Dexter Moody. The linebacker from Emanuel County Institute in Twin City has been released from his scholarship by the school because of a combination of academic and behavior issues, according to his coach.
Moody said this afternoon the move came after he was removed from ECI after a run-in at the school.
“I got in a little trouble down here fussing with a chemistry teacher,” Moody said. “Me and him got in an argument. He didn’t write me up or anything, but one of our assistant coaches went back to the principal and told him.”
ECI coach Milan Turner said Georgia informed Moody on Friday about its decision.
“I’m not upset about it,” Moody said. “It ain’t no big deal really. It really wasn’t my favorite school. I was going because I had a teammate on the team that was going too. He encouraged me to go.”
ECI running back Washaun Ealey also is a Georgia signee.
Turner said Georgia pulled Moody’s scholarship because of a combination of academic and behavior issues.
“They kind of had a plan for him to finish up the year as far as eligibility and schoolwork and behavior,” Turner said. “He’s kind of gotten off track there, and I think they felt it was best to give him an unconditional release and let him kind of decide what he wants to do.”
Georgia associate athletic director Claude Felton confirmed this afternoon that Moody had been released from his letter of intent. Felton said that since Moody now is considered a recruitable athlete, “we are not permitted to comment on him.”
Turner said he was unsure whether the university made the decision or it was made independently by the football program. Turner said Moody had no legal issues that were a factor.
“I think there’s some disappointment there, but he’s a senior in high school and when they give you a plan to follow and you don’t follow it, you kind of reap what you sow,” said Turner, who said he has talked to Moody's father.
The 6-foot-2, 205-pound Moody played in the Under Armour All-American game and was rated No. 101 on the ESPNU150 rankings. Georgia is now left with two linebacker signees: Michael Gilliard and Chase Vasser.
Moody also considered Florida and LSU.
“I’m sure there will be other folks interested,” Turner said. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

Word has it he got caught with the HS coach's wife. I don't know if its true but that happened a while back at Carolina when Phil Ford was there and one of UNC's players got caught with his wife. ******************************************* Yeah big boy there was some talk about Fulton playing some on defense but that pretty much has gone down the toilet given our returning QB situation.
With the exception of Webb, none of the present guys fit the system Lee will be running nor will they have enough time left on the field eligibility wise to make the complete transition to a west coast (Gulf Coast) type offense to run it effectively.
Rickey Lewis will probably see a lot more action at slotback and wide out earlier on than at QB but you can never really tell for sure.
Kindell is the real deal, one of those rarities when it comes to a quarterback, who comes in ready as a true freshman, both mentally, physically, and with the skill level needed for that position.
In any event, it's going to be a lot of fun seeing Lewis, Webb, Fulton and Kindell at QB or anywhere else on the field for that matter over the next 4-5 years.

Bigboy I heard that too. That solidifies that Lewis Kindle will get the nod.

Is it me or does it seem like Moddy and his coaches had some issues?? His HC doesn't seem too supportive.

If your star player was sleeping with your wife(McGinnis/Ford's Wife), you might not be the most supportive coach either?

Stop hating on Miller Time. He still has a chance to shock the world.

Not hating here but just being realistic. Herb is a really good kid but it hasn't ever really happened for him as a consistent quarterback on the college level. Just way too many mental errors and unforced turnovers.
At this late stage of his career, I cannot see how he can or could adjust to a totally new offensive system, make the proper reads, and capture a new playbook without ever mastering the old ones.

Aggie One these are the kind of guys I am looking for. 6-4 to 6-6 in the pocket QBs should be our minimum standard. This kid is big. He is a little slow and need to work on throwing while moving lateral but he is a candidate we can work with. I think the kid from GA is the best QB coming A&T we recruited since Matkins. You all remember him right? i've only watched part 1 of the videos so far, but the first thing that jumped out at me was fulton's mechanics. he really needs a good qb coach to help him with his mechanics but i like his potential. also, it seems that the part 1 video only shows him passing to virtually wide open receivers. i need to see him passing to receivers that have a defender within a step or so of the receiver. that way i'll know how accurate a passer he is. hopefully part 2 and part 3 videos will show some of that as well as fulton passing while under pressure. i like fulton but he doesn't look as comfortable in the pocket as kindle. kindle looked very comfortable in the pocket, as if he's been playing qb all his life...

He has. Kindell is a pure natural talent. Spending time at three different QB camps last year will make you that good especially if you have a strong work ethic, a field of vision, and are coachable. That's why he had a dozen scholarship offers, half from D-1 teams.
But you must admit that Fulton can and will probably be better over the long haul than any of the incumbents have shown to date, especially now that we have an actual quarterback coach on staff as a co-offensive coordinator running the passing game exclusively.

I agree with oleschool.....the first thing i noticed in the video was his mechanics...his throwing motion takes to long and will probably reduce his accuracy greatly....but with that being said he does remind me of this guy that played for texas and wore #10...mechanics and all...

aggieone, folks, i truly believe we've got something "special" in kindle. if he only had 1 or 2 more inches in height, i'd consider him a potential nfl qb prospect. i've only watched his video, so i could be wrong, but i swear it wouldn't surprise me if kindle starts for us next year. i think he's that good.
he doesn't get rattled at all under pressure, he doesn't have happy feet, he stands in the pocket despite what's around him, and then he delivers an accurate pass "with touch". he doesn't drill the ball and he doesn't float the ball. he kinda reminds me of former aggie qb, elsworth turner. except kindle has better mechanics, a little more accurate, and he's very fundamentally sound. they're both about the same size though.
my question for coach lee would be how does he intend to use this guy? from what i've read about coach lee, he seems to be a "smash mouth" kinda guy who would probably prefer to pound the ball on the ground. but kindle is a pure passer (who can also run i might add). if we're running a west coast offense, how often will lee take advantage of kindle's passing ability? i guess we will never know unless we do something about our o-line. if kindle doesn't get better protection than our qb's got last year, perhaps maybe we should keep it on the ground and redshirt kindle until we get a decent o-line...

This guy is pretty good 6'2 runs a 4'8 looks alot faster than that on film but its just enough to get him outta trouble he keeps his eyes up field an from what i seen he has a strong accurate arm with good decision making
