The market has taken a huge tumble and when it will stop, no one knows. I moved out of the stock market and into bonds a couple of months ago when I felt the Tea Party would throw a definite wrench in the "Debt Ceiling" bill.
I say keep an eye on the blue chips stocks and corporate stocks (mostly utilities) that pay nice dividends. These down periods are when you can pick some nice dividend stocks and get a higher return/yield. The questions are: is this the bottom and should I buy now? Who knows, you just have to do your research.
I will add market tumbles have a negative impact on A&T as well. Most of us took a "killing" in the last huge down market in our 401(k) and so did A&T with its Foundation's funds.

August 5th, wasn't the bottom after today I say watch the market with a decerning eye and look for another buying opportunity like in early Spring 2009.

August 15th, and 3 straight days of huge gains in the market. Did anyone make money? I sat all of this market rebound out. I was too scared. Oh well, there will always be another opportunity.
