I just heard that Kenny Phillips showed up to his interview with Chancellor Battle without wearing socks. Then 20 or 30 mins later he was gone and that Battle didn't think he took the interview seriously. So did Phillips blow his chance?

If that is true, which it very well could considering what he did last time up in front of Dee Todd and Wheeler Brown after Small was canned, then he is obviously a total head case. A lot like T.O.
We ain't missing much.

Why would we even interview him again?

Because he's a no-brainer candidate. He's down the road, he's successful, he's coached at A&T before, he knows how to get a lot out of a little, and he's got fire. Plus, Battle's probably never met him.
Maybe he gave his socks to the poor. It is Christmastime.

You don't get what, why K. Phil appears not to want to be the Head Coach of Aggie Football.
or,
If a person shows their A_S_S, chances are they are an A_S_S!

I don't get how Maxell's quote fit if Battle had never met him.

We ain't missing much. So because he didn't wear socks this time that disqualifies him? Last time it was the track suit? Why was Battle looking at his feet anyway? Should he be making eye contact in an interview I saw Fobbs during his interview process because he & Todd had dinner at Bonefish Grill. And guess what Fobbs was dressed nice with a suit & tie and all. Does any of that matter on the field........................ Man, we can have a chance to get a good coach and then maybe another future head coach in Maynor. Maynor offense looked alot better than ours last year. First we won't even enterain the idea of a white coach, then no hs coaches, and now this sock crap. What next, someone come up for an interview and we don't like the color scheme of their tie

I worked at Fayetteville State and had several meetings with Kenny and he always had socks on, even if he had on a sweat suit. I believe the no socks is a rumor. However, I did hear he was interviewed.

I thought dwight09 was making a joke until everybody took it serious, but you have to wonder if dude is taking the job seriously, and if he's not then it’s on him. Plus it wasn't the just the warm-up suit last time, he was totally unprepared to discuss what his plan or any plan for improving Aggie Football.

I don't care if he had on flip flops, if he can win football games, we need him.

Professor, Jaybee, and WJM, y'all know them answers you put out there were straight Bulltish! If you are hiring someone to be the face of your business, which is what the head coach is, you ain't gonna hire some dude that walks into the interview with a Fila suit on (for all my peeps that grew up in the 80's and 90's) or flip-flops, or no socks! You wouldn't show up at a job interview looking less than presentable, so that's the point. If you don't think someone that is interviewing you is looking at your appearance, y'all are sadly mistaken. You can look someone in the eye, and still give them the once-over and check out their gear, too. Trust, you will notice if a cat doesn't have on any socks, especially if he ain't use talcum powder to dry up all that sweat!!

A man is unprepared to discuss his plan for improving Aggie Football becuase he doesn't have on socks? Yet Lee Fobbs was dressed to the nines for his interview, ( btw, I saw him) and he lost 27 straight games. Please explain what clothes have to do with running a football program
