Where did his defenses rank in 2004 and 2005?
Weren't all those players in 2003 recruited by Hayes?
How good a recruiter was Lee here at A&T? It sure doesn't seem like we brought in a lot of defensive talent during the Small era.
Please, don't even answer these questions because they are all rhetorical. There is no way on earth Lee should even be considered for this job.

Pretty much. His Morgan D led the nation this year. The nation. Considering the person that performed Lee’s firing and hired Small’s replacement was incompetent, I don’t think the fact that he was fired holds a lot of weight. Doom's this is the second or third post..you have typed on Lee... and even I think it will be LEE now!!! I'm sick!

Us: 2002 – total defense 85th (before Lee) 2003 – total defense 3rd (with Lee) 2004 – total defense 35th 2005 – total defense 66th 2006 – total defense 114th (after Lee) Morgan: 2005 – total defense 108th (before Lee) 2006 – total defense 35th (with Lee) 2007 – total defense 2nd 2008 – total defense 1st
By the way, none of those teams had an offense worth squat, which meant his defenses stayed on the field a lot.
I ain't saying it'll be Lee, but I'm saying pitching a fit over getting one of the best d-coordinators in the business when you haven’t sniffed many victories in years isn’t logical.

It sure doesn't seem like we brought in a lot of defensive talent during the Small era. Not sure but Fobbs didn't even go over to Dudley. Meanwhile Morgan QB (Andrews)and RB (Dudley) come from Guilford county. Find the link........ Please, don't even answer these questions because they are all rhetorical. There is no way on earth Lee should even be considered for this job. Cuz, this is a message board and I'll answer when I please. Lee out of those 3 choices is who I would pick. We don't have a lot of things going well in our favor right now. A good defense would go along way into bringing us back. Your judgement is kinda shaky anyways, remember u were the one who was all hype on Herb Miller and we see how that turned out. And " THE FUTURE" had 3 catches for 36 yards for the year. If this who Wheeler picks then I'm all for it.... Offense wins games Defense wins championships.

First of all, he is one of the most celebrated defensive coordinators in the MEAC, not the country. Do you really think his defenses would finish as high if he were facing SoCon or Atlantic 10 teams every week? Right.
His defense was ranked 3rd in the nation in 2003 and I don't think Wofford punted more than once in that playoff game.
If you don't want to ever be anything better than average in the MEAC, then Lee would be a fine choice.

Of course not. But we're not facing SoCon or Atlantic 10 teams every week. Hell, we're not facing them AT ALL.
His defense was ranked 3rd in the nation in 2003 and I don't think Wofford punted more than once in that playoff game.
They didn't punt more than once the following week either. They beat Western Kentucky by dang near the same score they beat us by one week later, and WKU was the defending national champs.
If you don't want to ever be anything better than average in the MEAC, then Lee would be a fine choice.
If you say so. But you can't argue with his numbers.

Ok, you've sold me.
Let's welcome Alonzo Lee here with open arms.
Maybe Doug Brown can come back and be the instructor/ voice coach for the team gospel choir.

I'm really not trying to sell you. I'm just saying if you're going to rail against somebody you'd better have some logical reasons that aren't as easily disproven as the ones you posted. Otherwise people will think the cute little guy in your sig got hold of your password and learned how to type.

There's a 50 percent chance he accidentally hit the previous channel button on the remote ... but there's a 50 percent chance he knew what he was doing.

Dude, I still have nightmares about that God awful gospel choir he organized. One of the worst ideas ever. Choir boys do not equal good football players. i meant to say what did organizing a choir have to do with the choice of who became the head coach that brought publicity to the football team an the program when they got on the news it was sorta like a afterschool program type get ups it built character to not only some of the players but the team also look at jackson he was in that choir now he's givin back becoming a strength an conditioning coach. You never know what lil things like that do in young mens lives!

I get a lot of emails from people, but I think the craziest scoop I've received in regards to our next coaching hire was the name of former defensive coordinator Alonzo Lee. Man, if Big Wheels chose that clown I would 1) never speak to him again and 2) shut down this site altogether. What are some of the wild names you've heard that have been thrown around recently? {snicker}
