Golden Delight has definitely set the bar high. Blue Reign is gonna have to step up its uniform choice and music selection this year. I think the girls have the talent but they need to bring their A game at every halftime performance.

I predict that they will be undefeated in 2008-2009.

Not so fast. Every time they step out on the court this season they will be compared to GD.

they dont have to be compared thrilla. if you look at the video that was posted on the forum "Golden vs Blue Reign, you will see that they are very different. blue reign does not have a band, so anyone can mess up their music and half the time their music is very low. but when they do those stand dances when the band is playing they kill it! whomever is over the corbett gym could work on getting a better system and get them some new uniforms. they pay for their own stuff from what ive heard and they just started in 2001, GD has been here forever...they have years and years of alumni backing them, give BR a break for goodness sake. you try learning a 5 min routine in 2 days so that you can support the aggies just for them to talk junk about you!!!

No excuses. GD has to learn new routines in a short period of time also.

im not saying they dont, all im saying is that they should not be compared because it's aggie pride... not tyson and holyfield!!! no one's making a million dollars to perform in a college atmosphere. dont you think both teams shouldbe respected for having aggie pride..not everybody can get out there on the field and on the court to do their thing. GD and BR work very hard to show their pride through the art of dance. dance should not be competitive. but if both teams were not so good we wouldnt be having this conversation. so its good we got good talent reppin the aggies!

Like Bill Parcels once told Tony Romo: "don't ever let being 'just good enough' be good enough for you."
Meaning: If you don't strive to be the very best, you will never realize your true potential.

And like the Lil Saints famously told Wayne's crew after their big dance battle at the Staples Center .... "you got served!"

Blue Reign made its grand debut last night at the men's game.
At first it looked like they were gonna be no shows once again, but at halftime they suddenly came out from the tunnel for a surprise performance.
I must say that I was very impressed with last night's routine. The music selection was on point and the choreography was extremely well done. It is obvious that the girls have been practicing very hard this offseason because all their moves were crisp and in sync.
Also, they have definitely made an effort to downsize on the amount of mud ducks they let on the team. This year's squad could be one of the best looking in recent memory. They might not have as many 8s and 9s as Golden Delight, but they definitely don't have as many 2s and 3s as they have featured in years past.
To be honest, I think they may even have two or three dancers who are strong candidates to be Blue Death Valley Girls.
My only suggestion would be to continue to accentuate your positives and highlight some of your best looking girls more. For instance, when they were in the bleachers, the finest chick on the team was placed on the top row. She needs to be moved upfront and center on the first row. Just like GD makes sure the Puerto Rican girl walks into the stadium holding the banner, BR needs to make sure this fine hottie is the first thing folks see when they line up in the stands.
Other than that, I think Blue Reign will be a force to be reckoned with this season. Golden Delight better watch out on Feb 2.
Congrats on a great first performance.

Nah, I don't think anybody from The Click was at the game last night.
And that clown photographer from the yearbook staff wasn't trying to share his.

Joya Cook, our new director of marketing.
BTW: I hear she's been doing a great job.
