Didn't miss much. Small pretty much said they have to be ready emotionally when they go up to Norfolk. He 's been pumping his team up that they have to step up their execution and be ready to take NSU's best shot. Said he was pleased with his team's response in the second half against Elon after giving them the first half.
He is pleased with the way his defense has progressed and that they buckled down in the second half except the last TD they gave up. He was pleased how Moye stepped up and didn't do anything dumb and kept the offense under control in the go ahead drive. Glenn will be available this week if needed. Gave shoutouts to Brian Johnson and Brandon Trusty for making big plays when the offense needed it.
Said the freshmen RBs will have to be ready to go this week because of injuries and he had confidence in them.
Was concerned about the breakdowns on the PAT/FG blocking but said it would be corrected this week. He had Theron Thomas and Patrick Jordan there. Thomas has put on about 15 pounds of muscle in the weight room, improved his speed, and now delivers blows rather than take them. May be running back some punts this week.
Coach remarked NSU is not that bad defensively but offensively they are way behind, have made a lot of turnovers,mistakes. Small expects to have a good game and be more aggressive this week on both sides of the ball by attacking. Said it was conference time and every game has got to count, no more slipups.
