Ok, let me get this straight: Some folks don't want GD to battle BR in a winner take all dance off next year because each squad has different styles.
But then yesterday at the Coastal Carolina game, GD goes and invites the A&T cheerleaders (who cheer, not dance, let me remind you) to participate in their elaborate halftime show.
To me, that was a blatant shot at Blue Reign. They were basically saying "you guys suck and we would rather perform with some cheerleaders then your lame dance squad."
Personally, I don't think that was right.

No, key word is participate with Golden Delight, not compete against Golden Delight. Big Difference! If there is a message that is coming directly from GD as you are saying, then why doesn't anyone just say it and not send through un heard messages, if you ain't never scared.
I think if thats what GD wanted to do, they are within their rights to do so b/c its their half-time show. But it would be nice I think for both teams to perform together to show aggie pride

uhh i definitely dont think it was a diss. more like it's football season, the two girl performance teams around during football season are gd and the cheerleaders. hope to see a video soon though. id love to see how this all worked during the rain with stuntin, slippery grass and jazz shoes combining.

I must agree with "dancin4kix" the performance by the the band and the "delightful" Golden Delight in the rain was excellent. The band is quite good. I think that having the Cheerleaders perform on the field was a nice treat for them as well as the fans. If it becomes a concern to fans, perhaps Blue Reign will extend a similar invitation to the Cheerleaders.
While trying to get something to drink from the concession stand at the north end of the stadium, I discovered that is where the real show takes place. There was a mob at that end watching the band return to their seats in the stands. It was quite a performance.

i've definitely noticed somethings about golden delight this year. #1 THey've improved!!! [and looks like got a new choreographer] #2 THey're bigger more girls, therefore more like golden delight and less like 14k from bethune cookman #3 They have different footware.
#3 is the main reason for this post because for some reason this really bothers me. The salsa-esque shoe is only cute with the nude leotard and pretty much nothing else. what the hell happened to the character shoe? it really fit. at the beginning of the season they wore lyrical shoes (which are exactly like jazz shoes except they are cut out at the arch) i thought they looked nice and their ensembles flowed but now they've switched to a jazz boot a la 14k, or the J-Settes from Jackson State. i dont know. they just dont fit the "golden delight" image to me. i'm sure they're better for staying on and providing support in the grass but they're UGLY. they don't look classy at all and the only outfit they look ok with are those acrobat blue and gold ones. I know it seems that I'm going off on a tangent but i really want them to switch back!!

Shoes? Ok. While you're worrying about shoes, I'll be focused on this:

wow! that is so funny! this is riiduculous. the girl of BR are mad talented. yall must not have seen their african performance at the basketball game last year or all of the years they have done lyrical, jazz, modern, ballet at the black history performances. the whole team!!! who wants to see jazz and tap at a basketball game. thats wack. b-ball games were wack until BR provided us with some aggie pride during halftime.... thats what they're all about... we want to hear hip hop and see a little show. please rwlaize those girls do a new show every game.. thats not easy when you're a full time student. please look a little deeper at them because you obviously havent been watching.

Personally, I don't think that was right. I just learned of the bluedeathvalley.com message board the begining of this football season. And I must admit that I am a big fan of this site and appreciates all the wonderful pictures that are taken of us during the halftime show. I never decided to create an account until I read this thread that was created. I feel as if some corrections really need to be made!!!! #1-Golden Delight did not ATTEMPT to make a subliminal diss to Blue Reign. #2-Golden Delight are not the people who decided to do a show with the cheerleaders (even tho we enjoyed them all, they are very nice young ladies) Dr.Ruff had the idea sense our halftime show was a "CHEER SHOW"!!! AND THE MOST IMPORTANT ONE OF THEM ALLGolden Delight...and must I repeat myself.....Golden Delight has no problems what SO EVER with BR. We feel as if they are talented dancers in their very own special way. Just as we are good at the qualities we posses in our features!! There is NO NEED to battle BR!!! It may be a source of entertainment to some, but to GD and BR it would only add fuel to the fire. A fire we wish would cease. I was a NEW GIRL last year for GD and a BR dancer was RUDE TO ME only because she knew I was Golden Delight. We dnt take the time out of our busy lives to do that to them...So I wish all remaining memebers from both squads would end what has been done in the past. The people we look at as COMPETITORS are other [glow=red,2,300]HBCU AUXILIARIES......[/glow]not our OWN AGGIES!!!! I hope this cleared up a lot, coming from an ACTUAL DELIGHT!!!! ....But before I go! Could we please end this false advertisement going on at the top of all the forums???

Welcome to the board gldndel07.
We appreciate your candid insight on the BR/GD situation. However the dance battle WILL HAPPEN.

Thank you gldndel07...I couldnt have said it better my child...lol
As far as having a battle with them, there is no need. Our styles are so completely different that it wouldnt be able to be judged. Besides...we are all AGGIES and at the end of the day we both serve the same purpose...to support our fellow AGGIES...sooooo no beef here!!!
