42-17 A&T Iron Mike 189 yards Looks like aggierob is the winner, being off by just 7 total points. I was off by 8. Dammit!

How do you pick the winner in your contest. For example, I predicted A&T by the score of 48 - 6 so I was off A&T's score by 4 and JCSU by 6. Is the winner the person who get closest to the total score or closest to each school's score. Also, are we having this same contest every week this season. If so, I predict an A&T victory of 38 - 17 over WSSU.

Max & Thrilla,
You missed the question completely. For example, A&T's 44-12 victory yielded a total score of 56 and so does a score of 29 - 27 or 27 - 29 with A&T coming out on the short end. In the case of a 29 - 27 score, a prediction of 31 - 28 by one person and one of 28 - 25 would yield the same result in calculating the absolute difference. Therefore, who would win in this scenario, the first person or the second?

It was not based on the total score but the closest difference for each team. The tiebreaker was to guess the number of rushing yards for Mike Ferguson.

I gotcha.
Let me think about this some.
Maybe this could be the official criteria for having a winning pick:
1) The right team must win
2) whatever pick comes closest to actual point margin
3) whatever pick comes closest to winning teams final score
4) whatever pick comes closest to winning teams final score, without going over
5) Iron Mike's rushing yards
How does that sound?

Too complicated. I like the simple way. 1) Pick the winner 2) Score difference (not margin) 3) Iron Mike's rushing yards

Thanks for the update, Thrilla. I still predict a 38 - 17 A&T victory over WSSU. I also predict Mike will get 78 yards.
