At this point I would seriously prefer having Aggie Mike and his homeboy doing the radio broadcast if we can't afford to pay anyone else. Maybe we could boot Spencer and Billy and just keep Mel as the third man in the booth.

I think Justin and I are "good" but not quite ready for primetime, we are doing big things in the offseason, I'm still shooting video (be on the lookout for The A&T Register "News On The Go" video podcast coming soon) and Justin and me were getting the TV version of The Aggie Sports Report off the ground (I think we might want to ask them can we use the name before we just steal it) but I would audition for the job.
1000 resumes? Try 10....I didn't even audition for football I came straight from the radio station and Bruce Clark asked me if I'd be cool with doing football and I was like I always wanted to and then he asked me if I had anybody in mind and I told them Justin was interested and BOOM! you have your student broadcast team.

The job Mel, Spencer and Billy does in the booth is brilliant!!! I mean most radio teams try to paint the scene of the atmosphere for the audience....they try to make the listener fill like they are actually in the stadium.... Mel, Spencer & Billy doesn't care if you can see the picture because there is no picture.... they allow the listener to use his or her own imagination..... which is different .... but is pure brilliance!!!
For those who don't follow me here is a true story.... I turned on the radio late... it was after halftime... I kept yelling at the radio "WHATS THE SCORE.... WHATS THE FREAKIN SCORE"!!!! Finally late in the 4th quarter someone scored and Spencer said Hampton 39 the Aggies 0..... I mean these guys kept me on the edge of my seat for almost the entire 2nd half.... if they had said the score earlier.... I would have been cut off the freakin radio!!! That's when I began to recognize their shear genus in the booth.... and then you learn that they have been doing this for how long.... and for FREE....!!!!! Whay more can I say.... I tip my hat of to them!!!

The crew is cool with me. They just need keep a bag of cough drops ready for the guy coughing up a lung throughout the broadcasts. I much prefer them to that LOUD azz announcer for Hampton's broadcasts.

Who in the world is "truthseeker"?? Does truthseeker listens to the same broadcast the rest of the free world listens to?

I think truthseeker was being sarcastic.
Along those same lines, I remember one time I was driving to Greensboro from Durham while a game was in progress. I picked up the football broadcast in Burlington and did not discover the score until I reached Lee Street. I was trying to tell who was winning by listening to the excitement in their voices....it didn't work. I'm not sure who it is but one of those guys sounds like he's eating and talking at the same time.
Heck, I don't care if we get a new team or not. I'm just glad Aggie football is on the radio.

One of the duo's classic calls: "Campbell hands the ball off.....and.....he's down." You don't know who the runner is, which hole he went through or how many yards he has run, especially when the runner has broken for a lot of yards.

Yea I was being sarcastic..... but it's extremely hard for me to be critical towards aggies who volunteer their time.... and they're not harming anybody!! Look at the money they are saving the athletic department!! These guys love volunteering their time.... so why not let them do it!!!

I believe the Jacksons once made a song about our radio broadcast. You might have heard it. I think the marching band still plays it a lot during football games.
