Seems strange to me that there is no focused recruitment in the local areas. I attended school in the Sandhills and we had plenty of talent there but little recruitment was done in that area. I know the budget is limited but we as alums need to help out the program. A coach with no talent is just as bad as a talented team with the wrong coach. Want proof??? Look at the Dallas Cowboys. A&T has to do a better job at evaluating talent at the high school levels. If necessary ask for the alums to help out. I am sure there are plenty of us that would go out and promote the school to some of the second tier talent. Heck, if we get lucky we may even be able to get a couple of tier one players to come. If Troy State in Alabama can get some top tier talent we should be able to also. Can anyone tell me the last A&T player to make the NFL and do fairly descent? ?

Will Billingsley made the Dolphins practice squad this year and he was only a part time starter under Fobbs. There is plenty of talent on this team. We just need someone who knows what to do with it.

The Coach should be given an opportunity to recruit his players. After the end of his contract, he will be evaluated by the AD. I am confortable with our AD in his decisions based on past hiring of the football and basketball coaches. I'm sure he is on top of the baseball situation and will make a good decision at the right time.
