I liked A-1's response. I could almost see that "are you ishting me" look on his face and hear his voice when I read it. I had to laugh out loud, almost as loudly as I did when I read buddy's "do you pay your dues" statement.

On an unrelated note : Can somebody get Fobbs to approve putting a hymn or something in our jerseys..I was watching the tape of the Norfolk game again, and we look real real popwarnerish with those baggy tops....Aint he one of those kappa dudes? You would think we would be extra fresh out there on the field...Dont get me wrong, Norfolk looked bad too..But maybe if we look better, we'll play better....But probably not---

Jaffe, I expect more out of you. You must really be running out of rumors, third-hand gossip and conspiracy theories if you are now blaming Fobbs for the uniforms. Please tell me you did not just blame Lee Fobbs Jr for our current uniform crisis. I mean, seriously. Do you wake up in the middle of the night thinking of new ways to express your hate for the man?

i think that the morgan state game was a very winnable game especially after the 96 yard TD pass to Caldwell from Morgan then he put Miller back it the game on the next series thats when I knew Fobbs didnt have a clue on what he was doing and to think we could have got Broadway Adams before he led Central to back to back titles. Now on the topic Dee Todd you would have to be blind to see that she needs to be fired the only sport we have improved in since she has been here is womens basketball and every other has gone down and dont get me started on her complaining about the band. God I hate her.

Fear leads to hate. Hate leads to the darkside.

No doubt bases on w's vs L's, we can't get in a time machine and trade in some stadium improvements and a ramp up in student population and end up with some mild setbacks (hint- dollar-dollar-bill yah & retention) and bad press (as a kicker), to not think that our football program would not be caught up in the mix: I feel the same from a win - loss standpoint we are all Aggies, however how many of the players recruited (pre-Fobb) were retained, and even post Fobb we lost eight and a few (recruits) at the closing gate, but I understand they are on campus and should be in spring ball, case & point someone spoke on a thread somewhere that they saw Garth on campus with a book bag and if Wayne Campbell was back and had improved half as much as Herb, then I think the win-loss would be acceptable. Now look at games played and your win loss issue becomes moot--bottom line the man said "stay positive" I am staying positive, bottom line he can't play on the field and turnovers have be interesting to say the least--whether its Sandman becoming toast or Ferg dropping the ball, Shelton for pick 6, etc. I can't get down on this team those players (or anyone else on the team) they are doing good things also and THEY ARE NOT SENIORS, so the coach has spoken and said unless you load up or transfers you will have to take some lumps (Mr. Thornton-sorry of course you too, strictly from the upside, you are a baller and you win get your first). We have made a four year commitment, we don't have the type of program to change coaches twice in this short period of time, let's see how the kids do in the classroom before we bring the butcher's block out. I hereby certify as a card carrying Season ticket type of Aggie.

I agree that the 'fire fobbs' talk is not practical, especially after two seasons. However, if he goes 0-11 again I think Dee should sit down with him and talk about restructurng his contract to free up some more money for the overall staff budget. Then she should force him to make some major changes to his coaching staff. Sorry, it might be a blow to his ego but that is the price you have to pay for going 0-22 in your first two years. Coach Fran was forced by his AD to make those same similar staff changes when Fobbs was at Texas A&M. When Broadway was at NCCU he fired both his offensive and defensive coordinators after his first season. Sometimes you need to stay the course and sometimes you need to toss your first plan in the trash and create a new one. Personally, I still think Deke could be a good defensive coordinator and Ray could be a decent offensive line coach. However, when Fobbs first arrived he only hired them to be position coaches. On offense, he let his son - who was just a volunteer coach- call the plays last year, so obviously its not like Ray had a prior reputation of being an offensive guru.
Fobbs was hired to be the head coach and offensive coordinator and if he is not up to the latter task he needs to re-assess the situation and bring in a capable and experienced person who can handle that role. If not, he would be in breach of his contract in my opinion.

Actually, Ray was o-line coach and o-coordinator at his prior stop and they put up some numbers. I don't know what the problem is here other than maybe he's one of those types that needs "his" type of player to be successful instead of being able to get the most out of a player. Out of everbody on staff Ray seemed most poised to make an immediate positive impact.
At this point even though we are 0-fer like a mutha I don't see the need to outright fire anybody unless you're going to outright fire everybody. A dedicated o-coordinator/qb coach and a highly experienced co-defensive coordinator to help Deke with the defense would help a ton. In my opinion, and I've been typing this for blind eyes to read the day Coach Fobbs was hired, we need a few extremely experienced guys on staff to help things along.
Oh, and we definitely need a special teams guy.
Give me a call thrilla.
